With 6 late builds

Well, EL only uses the top 28 dots on your team. Certain positions will never be able to contribute to the team EL average unless the rest of the team is built like crap.

QB, K, and P are almost always in the EL calcs b/c they only have 3 major skills. (don't look at my K or P....they aren't built like most. I don't care what their EL is....I just want them to be able to kick really well.)

O and D linemen are in most of the calcs b/c they have 4 majors and only 3 minors.

Positions that have 5 major skills are rarely included in the top 28 of a team....WRs and TEs.

The remainder of the dots all have 4 major skills and 4 minor skills, so it comes down to how they were built. Moral of the story....6 dots being built late wont affect your team's average effective level much, if at all.

If your effective level is below the actually level of your player, he sucks. The converse is not necessarily true, however.

Dave, i didn't know the top 28 were the only dots referenced. That's interesting, do you have a source where you read that I could look at?

ok so here is what i think im understanding and i gonna use a example that is out of my ass

so it would be something like

skill point value 100-150= EL lets say 3 or something
then SPV 150 to whatever is EL Level 4 and so on

I'd have to find it....I've read it multiple times, and there have been a couple suggestions made to have it include the entire roster.

Yep...pretty much.

0-162 I know is EL 0....that is what dots start at.

ok so just a stoner thought so if i had a team that were training all kinds of skills punt kick block. An was getting higher training because the skill is lower and the EL would be higher even if the build is trash

Yep.....effective level has nothing to do with how good the build actually is.

Vague question = Vague answer

If your average player value is high and your training program has you training the correct attributes, then I would say your dot should be better.

If you are training the right skills and you have a high EL, you are going to have good dots.

If you are training the wrong skills and you have a higher EL than the dots above, your dots will suck despite the higher EL.

Less Vague?
