In a championship game? It's the worst way to end. It takes a sport from a team sport and puts it in the hands of 2 players at a time. Play the game like it was meant to be played until someone wins. I am fine with shootouts in regular season games, ie hockey but when it comes time for the playoffs shootouts are a bust.

Yep in a championship game. I think its the most exciting. Not saying other sports should do the same and I agree with hockey as well. It's fit for soccer and really soccer only and I think its more exciting then a game ending FG, 3 pointer, or an OT goal.

Hey now... at least lolWu didn't have to come to Pro just to demote the next..... oh wait nevermind.

At least they didn't do something stupid like start a Wu Appreciation thread in the WL and then never make it... oh wait again.

I don't care how the damn game ends or is played. True, after enough alcohol, I was screaming "Espana" last world cup in a crowded salsa bar, though it didn't make me any less bald and old, but soccer itself is just not a sport so much as an endurance trial with a ball incidentally in the middle of it.

I will, however, say that it automatically becomes a sport-like event when someone is named Hope Solo. I mean, christ, what is she the love child of Han Solo and Glenda the Good Witch? Hope Solo. Say that a couple of times. Don't say it three times or she comes out of your bathroom mirror looking for crime to fight or something, but say it a couple of times. Hope Solo. Hope Solo.
