I did submit it as a possible bug to see what the mods thought. I had not thought of it, but they think the visuals of the play don't match what really happened and that FB did engage in the block only after the ball was caught. If that's the case, I'm cool with it.

Kinda see your point - but I don't see how they could try and 'fix' this issue while ignoring the fact that DB's regularly run off the side of the field for no good reason.

since defenders can't run through people, like on O, what's to say the FB was just standing there in the way? like a no-contact pick in basketball.
I'd like to know what the support people think happened. is the real sim data saved? or are only the replays and stats saved?
Also agree...gotta fix this so called normal behavior (over pursuit, running outta bounds) problem before problems like this, just based on how much more frequently they occur.
but yeah, they'll prolly pull the whole "what you say isn't what happened" excuse. lame
and sorry, Gerr...it's a legit issue to discuss...but when it's brought up after a 2-game losing streak, it does kinda sound like whining...

Is there a "GLB Rule Book"?
Like an online "book" that explains the rules.. I feel like there are so many unanswered questions... Lots of Agents fight with each other because there doesn't seem to be any clear understanding of the Rules. Nobody can really be right or wrong if nothing is set in stone...
Can we suggest a "Rule Book"?
To be clear. I wanna see an "In Game" rule book.

I think we need to have some more cases of this before it is called a bug. It could just be the LB and the FB that bump into each other, that happens in RL to.
I do concur that the FB picks a block extremely fast since he is pancaked 2-3 frames after the catch is made and he moves towards the LB while the ball is still in the air.

he was just providing deep coverage for containment

everytime i've seen it questioned in the suggestions or bugs forums, the mods or support people pull out the NFL rulebook from the web. so i've always assumed it's NFL rules. not sure if they have that officially written down somewhere, tho

It looks like the Right DE makes some kind of odd jerky type movement just as the ball goes past him. I'm thinking he may have jumped and tipped (Pass Deflection) the ball, therefore creating a jump ball situation which IRL the FB is allowed to engage blocking the LB. The SIM doesn't show ball tips (Pass Deflections) by Def Lineman but that's the only thing I can think of that makes sense.

i didn't notice that...but I bet you're right now that I'm seeing the DE jump like that. man it's close, though...the FB and RO dots are damn near touching for a few ticks prior to the DE's jump. But it doesn't look like the FB is resisting the RO until the tick that the DE jumps. Amazing read by the FB if that's the case.

Yeah, I don't know. This seems like an awful lot of discussion about 1 play that seems to be an anomoly in a game known for odd things categorized by Admins as "working as intended".
That being said, if we're going with comparing to the NFL, let's just say it was an blown call by the Refs. While we can all see the Ref got it wrong, Instant Replay can't call a missed penalty

What about all the times you see a SS/FS along with a CB raping a WR on a route, no Pass interference call on those either.
