Im also trying this, I have a lvl 3 HB in the D leagues, and im slow building him to be an agile player with extreme points in SAs and very high agi.... Im not gonna spend his sp for awhile, probably til he gets outta the d leagues....
So how high should i get agi before putting points into SAs?
How high should I put my speed?

I've got a level 23 that I switched from speed to agility not too long ago. (Swung all the equipment + custom equip points from speed to agility.) So far after one game against a good opponent he seemed to be much more reliable with his ypc than he was when he was a speed back. Of course, that's only one game so we'll see how he keeps doing.

I think it's stupid to build an agile slow guy.
im guessing he has a shit ton of points in the elusive back SA

I was also contemplating putting a large portion into agility. I don't really care if my HB can bust off and outrun the entire D, but I do care if he can find the cutbacks and get an extra 2-3 yards/play. A YPC of 4+ would be much better in my eyes than hoping the defense is out of position enough to allow me to accelerate.

i find that my guy really can't finish off runs too well (higher aility than speed). He can get to the outside, if he had the speed to out sprint a lot of the LBs and secondary players he would score a lot more TDs. My LBs actually have more speed than my HB at the moment. With time when i boost my HBs speed he will be a lot better, but that will probably be after my next set of boosts.

Having the same problem with my elusive back. My guy runs right past the blockers before they get a chance to do anything. I have equipemtn in +speed. I might change it all out to +agility.

You definitely have to be on the same page with your FB and make sure that he has a relatively high speed too, or you'll run right up his back. It also helps if your coach sets most of your runs to the outside, rather than up the middle, if you rely primarily on speed.

I'm starting him as an Agility back and Training Speed. Any ideas how to expand on him? Vision will be going up also.
Edit: Don't let his average fool you, he's been on a Level 1/2 CPU team and on a team that's not good here also.

This thinking was what prompted me to go higher agility than speed at first, and then gradually raise my speed as needed to accommodate the speed of the o-line and FB. I'm attempting this build with a d-leaguer currently and I hope when I sign with a human squad that he's successful with this philosophy.
