It would be true that more of the silver champions would likely be yes-yes teams, but considering their promotion to Gold, isn't that what you would want?

I could understand a yes/no, especially to be competitive in silver, but not a yes/yes.

Or you could do 2-4-8 and rename Gold to PW Elite, Silver to PW Competitive, and Copper to PW Casual, or something like that.

2 gold leagues won't work in peewee unless the leagues had less teams in them, which defeats the purpose of your suggestion ...gold struggles to have 32 competitive teams innit as it stands atm!
...I think if 2-4-8 was the case, then start every team off in silver and mid season do the team movements! ...every peewee conference should consist of only 8 teams, so that every team gets to play against every team in their conference before team movements, where the top team from each conference goto gold and the next 2 best teams remain in silver, and the rest goto copper! ...the teams after the move then get to play against every team in the conference after the team movements! ...then have a playoffs system where the top 4 teams from each gold conference playoff against each other for the championship! ...the top 2 teams from each silver conference goto the silver playoffs ...and the top team from each copper conference goes to the copper playoffs!

this would resolve the CPU teams in gold, and every team gets to play against quality opposition, coz the gold teams from the previous season could be placed in a seperate conference at the beginning of the season and the silver teams that remained in silver could be divided between the silver leagues, which gives every team a chance against a gold calibre team and some other quality opposition before team movements.

...so to break it down for the tl;dr...

2-4-8

day1
16 silver leagues consisting of 8 teams per conference ~every team in each conference gets to play against each other before team movements
~1st place getter in each conference goes to gold!
~2nd & 3rd place getters in each conference remain in silver!
~the rest in each conference goto copper!

mid season
2 gold leagues consisting of 8 teams per conference ~ every team gets to play each other in each gold conference before playoffs ~the top 4 teams from each conference goes to gold playoffs(16teams in gold playoffs)

...hmm you could prolly make it 9 teams per conference just to give us the 16games per regular season, which is equal to what we have now, but I'm too stoned to do the math atm

...but 8 is a nice round figure that fits the mould for my reasoning

...it would resolve a lot of issues that we have in peewee atm ...maybe create some new ones, but even if teams fail, there is plenty of incentive to come back the next season and try again! ...and the leagues would be more exciting and more of a challenge, coz even in the copper leagues, a lapse in concentration and letting your guard down could cost you a playoff berth! ...and prolly the best thing about it is that CPU teams would be 'weeded out' and relegated to where they deserve to be at the halfway mark of the season!

copper 8 ~ 23 owned CPU teams
silver 8 ~ 3 CPU owned teams
silver 7 ~ 11 CPU owned teams
copper 7 ~ 22 CPU owned teams
silver 6 ~ 6 CPU owned teams
copper 6 ~ 25 CPU owned teams
silver 5 ~ 11 CPU owned teams
copper 5 ~ 26 CPU owned teams
silver 4 ~ 7 CPU owned teams
copper 4 ~ 25 CPU owned teams
silver 3 ~ 13 CPU owned teams
copper 3 ~ 22 CPU owned teams
silver 2 ~ 8 CPU owned teams
copper 2 ~ 24 CPU owned teams
silver 1 ~ 3 CPU owned teams

Well that's why I said "pretty much". But if you take the interconference game out, rest is (again) p much random*.

* Well it seems that it attempts to avoid back to back home or away games. Which is all the more reason for letting a computer program generate a schedule.

My suggestion:

Move as many human owned copper teams to silver as there are cpu's in silver.
Don't allow purchase of copper teams until silver is full.
If a team at any league is sold during the season, it will automatically be deleted or sent to copper during season rollover.

I like that only silver champs move up to gold. If there are weak teams camping in gold, tough shit. They've most likely earned their place up there, and if they manage to avoid relegation season after season, more power to them.
