Might as well just not invest in confidence at all.

I never want to really say that knowing how quickly things change from season to season as far as morale is concerned.
But I think our key crutches are contracts and promos

I was being sarcastic. I think a minimum of 40 confidence is necessary both for morale purposes and to enable the use of OTK.

I do agree that contracts and promos have really changed the way we approach confidence, and I never put sps in there for CBs anymore. Since I rarely build anything other than man coverage CBs, my approach is usually to make it my first 4-way multi-train attribute (the one you don't buy) and train it to 38 or so. Once it gets there, I switch to strength and keep training until I have to switch to light. Taking that approach, it ends at 42 or so at level 74-75.

83-85 I think, with EQ taking it to 90. You can run 145+/90/85 spd/agi/vis if you go 77/73/77 for those three. Leaving it there allows you to still get close to 80 jumping, 60 stam, 60 tackling, 50 strength, run 3% AEQ, and push your SAs high. Here's one I ran when trying to determine if it would be better to pick up a fourth SA piece over a second piece of PD% with the AEQ nerf:

Yes Man XIV: Another Yes Man (Lv. 75 CB)
Ht/Wt: 6'3", 170lbs

Attributes
Physical Attributes
Strength: 50
Speed: 146.24 (+52)
Agility: 90.23 (+6)
Jumping: 78.24
Stamina: 60.82
Vision: 85.24
Confidence: 41.82

Football Skills
Blocking: 8
Catching: 21.82
Tackling: 60.82
Throwing: 8
Carrying: 8
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

Special Abilities
Shutdown Corner Abilities
Swat Ball: 10
Sticky Hands: 3
Superior Vision: 10
Smooth Operator: 3
Shutdown Coverage: 10

Speedster Abilities
First Step: 4
Change Direction: 8
Return Specialist: 0
Blitz: 0
Closing Speed: 0

Additional Abilities
Zone Focus or Wrap Up Tackle: 6

Veteran Abilities:
Ball Hawk: 15
Football Genius: 15
Third Down Stopper: 15
DvG: 15
High Jumper: 5
OTK: 1

PD Chance +15%
MT Chance +15%

One of the best CB builds I have seen to date although I am not sure what I think of SDC anymore. I would probably not take it for something else.

i think with the AEQ % nerf, SDC becomes more important if for no other reason than it boosts your PD score... something that can be done with % pieces now. granted, you will still be able to stack % pieces, but the effect will be much less than what we are currently accustomed to.

I don't recall anyone saying you lost all credibility, his point was just that SDC is by no means considered required for an end-build CB nowadays.

IT certainly is over rated. But, now that AEQ is getting nerfed the PD% bonus from it may make it that much more appealing.
