As it stands, winning Pro means you won two (possibly only one) tough games in a row (i.e. the 2nd round and the CCG). That's not to say that winning a pro trophy is easy or a given. Just saying that, if I have a choice with the current GLB, I would take an easy path back to WL and try to prove ourselves there again, rather than a tougher path in Pro and possibly be stuck in Pro for more than one season.

Hemisphere is the only way to go. It needs to be done. The Pro leagues will be dog shit but at least they'll start to stock pile up with better comp within those conferences as the seasons progress. As it is right now it's boring and horrible. If HOOD were to demote I'd want to bring up farm squads and wait for them to be ready for WL again.

Well what's truly fucked up is that good dot builders would rather retire their non wl dots than play for a mid range pro team. I'm not sure how decent pro teams make it. The only thing I can think of is for a decent team to put together some really good coordinating and say "hey look, this is what I can do with shitty dots, just think what I can do with good dots" and hope for the best.

Not gonna say I have always had shitty dots, but IC has (except for this season with mostly declining dots) almost always had to work with dots not all built for the system I like to run, so we constantly had to alter AIs and offensive/defensive schemes to fit the new round of dots rather than having a whole farm of dots to fit our schemes.
I think we did pretty well considering.

it's not the farm part that I'm talking about. To this day, EEA hasn't had "farm dots" make it to EEA. However, I did buy a team in AAA and recruit for 3 seasons in attempt to move those dots to EEA, but most of those dots have already retired.

edit: but we do have a couple teams coming up that will make life MUCH easier

Is that why it took you so long to get past the OPL playoffs?

Not that I agree with Jt much, but he is right on here.

The difference between WL and Pro, except for a few games, is HUGE. WL is a grind, and I don't know how guys like JT do it alone and don't burn out, but for our two seasons up there, every game was a struggle. In most if not all Pro leagues, you may have 3-4 games that will be close, and most teams do not even game plan for those, because it doesn't matter if you finish 1st or 8th, since the only thing that matters in the playoffs.

A Hemisphere league with all the best Pro teams, and mid-range movement from Pros to the WL would be a nice addition, and give teams a chance to get used to the WL grind

I think we all agree on this. I think teams that are new to Pro might feel that Hemispheres is another hurdle to getting to WL, and it is. However, if you can't get past that hurdle, you were just going to demote from WL anyway. Condensing to 2 or 4 leagues would allow getting to Pro (or Hemispheres or whatever) to mean something and winning Pro to be something to be proud of.

Would demoting WL teams go to hemisphere leagues or fall to national pro?

i think we agree on many things, it's the antics that don't float your boat.

Need a new AV for everyone to wear that says Hemisphere in S22

Almost all of us agree, but now we just have to get the admins on board. Even if we have an entire fully fleshed-out suggestion in place, that's a lot harder than it sounds (or should be).
