I know they were the lower seed and it was against the playoff snake bitten Bears, and it was an all RK team but a no/no beating a good yes/yes team in the second round was pretty impressive.......probably not a top five because of the issues listed above but worth an honorable mention......

If I had to pick individual games, season 13 Traveling Wilburys over FG would get my vote in the top 5, nobody thought there was even a chance of that even though it was a #2 vs #7 game with FG as the #2.

Thanks Don't forget the first team to do that. SAS vs Bears in the S17 playoff.

I think the philosophers was the 2nd team to do that. Yeah but that was really a nice win since I didn't expect TP to win.

Thanks for the Lunch Box props on a list that doesn't involve sucking. The win vs. the Gerr Bears was memorable because I'm pretty sure it was and still is the worst defeat in their history. I'm also p sure that Gerr wasn't fully boosted that season either, tho.

I personally couldn't wait for that roller coaster of a season to be finished. The Pimps win was meh and the Dirty loss didn't sting too bad. Mike only lost one game that season... the championship to FG.

I'm pretty sure that Dirty only won that game by 20 points.... there are 4 long touchdowns right there that come against Basic defenses.... aka defenses that get called when your a retard and don't delete inputs with no outputs in them.

Not to mention every other score they had was set up by plays against those basic defenses.

At least you give credit where credit is due, because without that mistake I am 100% certain tomlinator was bringing home the Gold.

Point was, I watched Bleeds build a team less than perfectly for exploiting a somewhat broken passing game the season before and troll all over everyone... so early that season me and Nif decided to hit it heavy, make 10 WRs, pass blocking linemen... and spam Pump Fake like everyone else....

What happened was a resulting unstoppable (can't say unstoppable because we did actually get held to 14 points in the AAT final game by MG) force of an offense that had nothing to do with scouting, or play calling, or anything but random chance says that 1/4 passes is going to get caught and if all your passes are deep.... WATCHA gonna do.

The only way to stop it was to 100% commit to the passing defense... which is something nobody ever tried besides MG in that AAT game... but it wasn't unstoppable (thus while obviously slants needed to be fixed and pumpfaking slightly nerfed.... the passing game in general didn't need to take the SLAMDAMNTHANKYOUMAM assraping that it took)

I do agree though that SOA was by far number 1, since I don't think a person in the world was expecting them to win even a single game in the playoffs... and were predicted to get blown out every game as far as the majority was concerned.

I think the Loretto run probably deserves the number 2 slot though cuz... I was friggin amazed by that since they hadn't even done very well in the regular season... PNP had at least played close games all season whether they had a low seed or not.

Dirty had the perfect team to beat LB in Season 18. LB's strong passing attack (10 WR's) versus Dirty's stacked defense (12 DB's) against the pass. Regardless what happened to your DAI, we will never know what coulda-been. I may not have scored 55 but the way your defense was getting toasted/pumpfaked I still think we would have scored 40 at least!

A stat overlooked in that game was that Dirty had 26 Pass Deflections!! You weren't going anywhere through the air, and didnt have a versatile offense to threaten with a run game.

You didn't have a single drive that did well that didn't rely completely on the botched defense...
your full of shit you barley won a game where you scored 40 points off of a botched defense... and you really still lay magical claim that you stood a chance...

/yawn

We still scored plenty of points didn't we?!?!

Sorry iStoner, but this is a clear case of should-of, would-of, could-of, but in the end, you lost and they won. Doesn't matter who the better team was or what might have happened, they got the win and that's ALL that counts, end of story!

Think of it this way, during those 5 seasons where my Bears lost in the first round even though we were the higher seed, not once did I make any comment about being the better team and having lost on a fluke or some mistake of mine. I took my lumps and moved on. Maybe you should stop trying to convince people that you belong in the elite class of Gold DC's, because the simple fact is you don't. Yes you are a decent Gold coordinator, but not the elite one you would like people to think you are.

I fucking own you at every aspect of this game, your a joke that tryhards during regular season and gets owned in the playoffs season after season...

/laugh at you...

Quite certain I've made it to two conference championships in Gold while trying anymore than a lackluster autopilot for a whopping 2 seasons...

While you've tryharded for what 6 seasons? and not made it that far...

Not enough to win obviously. Real easy to say that your "Real" Defense could have stopped us after the game, but explain why your team couldn't get it done on offense. That is where you lost it. Forget your defense, you had the ball 31 minutes and put up 35 pts. Thats less than half the average of the 2 previous conference playoff games. 91 and 73 respectively. Like I said the 12 defensive backs shut you down.

I never said for a second that it was going to be a blowout if you didn't get lucky and auto adjust decided to only call plays against basic defenses all game...

Comparing it to the 2 games before is only really patting me on the back, in case you weren't aware I have stated several times (and it was to my knowledge a well known fact) that I had been running the LB offense for the duration of the end of the season and the playoffs (while still taking a break from the forums due to a suspension) but was kicked out of my place of living before the game in question. Thus Tomlinator was placed in charge of the offense (something he probably hadn't even looked at all season) and it isn't surprising to me that he wasn't capable of matching my performance in the two previous games.

Just because you did slightly better than the two teams before doesn't change the fact that every single score you had was because of basic defenses (as much as you'd like to pretend otherwise) and that you STILL only won by 20 points.

GTFO. Also, reported me for what, responding to someone trash talking me with some likewise trash talk or is my use of one swear word excessive to you?

Obviously though, I'm the immature big headed one around here.

Lol, so now you just don't even have an argument just going to try to take an old "everyone you know is your multi" swing aye?

Guess what, I don't care what you think... never have never will.

I hate this thread because it makes it seem like LB would for sure have beat FG in the championship game. We don't know that, it's possible, but possible and likely that FG would have won that game considered how they rolled through those playoffs.
