i don't get what's the fuss?

bora bora had entire roster hittin decline, tried to recruit, failed, went for HOF stat-padding declining dots for O, CPU for D, expecting to win about 5-6 games vs. non-playoff teams

Why bother. I debated this issue back when it was first announced and all it accomplished was getting me accused of being scared of competition and a chicken. Folks wanted tougher CPUs and more realistic scores. They got it.

Reality is that CPUs are built off of what Catch considers average. I don't not think that what Catch considers average is actually average. I think it is probably pretty darn good. So they take 10% off of that and end up with average type builds. Give that CPU a well built D AI like hcreek's, and voila. You have a team that can beat average to poor teams. GCMM and BNP will still beat AGT by 60+. Your players are too fast and well built. But the middle of the road teams (or worse) may struggle.



I am for having strong CPU's... I was talking more about drawing attention to this as a point in case for the hemisphere leagues.

ACTUALLY - CPUs scale to the team they are playing almost exactly - then subtract 10%. IIRC, it uses the same build as a same archetype player on the other team. If there isn't the same archetype on the team they are facing, they take from another similar team in the same league.

You can take a rookie team with all cpu dots and scrim a pro team and beat them... and I think that's badass.

ACTUALLY - I think you understand that wrong. They do not copy the other team's build and apply a 10% penalty. They copy the other team's level, and then get the attributes that were determined to be average based on that archetype and level.
