Tattletale shit and a bad sim = Fail
Sure we have played through bad inconsistent sims before and still had fun back in the day.
LOL many of us were logged periodically 2-4 hours a day and sometimes more if the forums were thriving with bantering, highsiding, and just all around bullshit. (You have to admit once the "Report" button came out all of GLB went on decline)


The changing of sims has made this into a Bipolar disorder and you never know whats next.
Site = Rated "G" let the schoolboys play and keep handing out reward points.
GLB = did not cater to it's paying community and it will be there demise.
I said so a long time ago and will say so again.

Whats the benfit of a thread like this? So you all can carry on about how great things used to be and throw out hpothetical what ifs and ultimatums to entertain yourselves? Heres a suggestion: Take your suggestions to the suggestion forum. Heres another: Keep your doomsday prophecies to your self.

I can think of two people at most that have ever sought to give something back to the community... Gerr and LE. The rest of you cats (myself included at times) have rarely if ever had anything good to say and, much worse, some go out of your way to make things miserable for anyone with an interest in Pee Wee, specifically Gold.

The writing was on the wall long ago and the very people with the biggest egos and sense of entightlement are the same ones that have brought this low period about. Look in the mirror dudes.

I've already stated many seasons ago that I'd rather be 8-8 in this league than 15-1 in a silver one. Go troll someone else. I spy a few trophies on the Lunch Box page and another coming from this season. Unless you're refering to a Silver league trophy that your type turns its nose up at every chance they get trying to prove your superiority. I've been a part of enough of them to not really care if the team I own has one but thanks.

Wow. I am sure you have few people in mind when writing that. But to lump everyone into that is probably a little unfair.

First. The benefit of this thread in a most basic form is forum activity. Which is vastly more threads than you have started. If it falls flat fine. If users comment on it fine. At least it is some activity which is better than no activity at all. I find it a little ironic that your basic message is to stop being negative or calling others out for being negative yet this post is all negative (excluding the comment about LE and Gerr).

So if I was to take your advice when I find a thread I don't like or don't agree with all the comments then maybe I will just move onto the next one

Tell 'em, Bevo. If he's looking for everyone to open up arms and share everything with people, then you won't find a lot of that here specifically because of the forum structure. LE has a site dedicated to PW. Jkid has a PF for PW. If you want to learn about coaching, there's an ST forum, an OC forum, and a DC forum. Some coaches are wide open about sharing their AI's and strategies while others have been burned by it in the past. I can't fault someone for guarding their stuff.

I know I personally will help anyone out if they ask for help in a respectable way. I've transferred OAI's over before to help someone out and then walked them through my setup. I've done the same from others (brought it over to mine). When it got a little tougher recruiting within for our roster each season, we reached out and welcomed newbs in. Heck, I still remember way back before we had Copper/Silver/Gold when L10 was KING (That's right. I said KING BITCHES!!!!). Vrecksler had a WR on the Midgets that whipped my dot's ass in blocking. I wanted to see the build so I could figure out what to adjust to beat that dot. All I did was sent a nice, respectful PM. He gladly shared the build and the strategy with me. We became pals, and the next thing you know I'm building Midgets and he's building Baby Makers. Then we bring others in the fold, share strategies, etc. That's how you learn about this game if you're new.

D~town's right. The forums used to be for fun, trash talk, and just humorous threads. A lot of us may pick on the newbs for silly posts, etc., but we also help them -- especially if they send us a PM. Heck, Johnny G just offered to let that 15 year old newb OC his team for 2 games. What more do you want?

Must be talking to someone else..........I have no clue who Permastoned is and I was no where near Pee Wee Gold 8 seasons ago. Not even sure I was involved in Pee Wee at all. I would have to go check.

I disagree with everyone being negative. When I joined LEs forum I don't think I ever received a negative comment from anybody asking all the questions that I did.

We just need more Gold talent to take Copper/Silver under their wings and try to teach them what does and does not work, but make sure to stress that they don't just want to copy a system, but tweak it to their own style. For example, zmj44 was my defensive student for about two seasons, now his defense on PNP is as good if not better than mine, but it is not a carbon copy either. We need stuff like this to happen more often on both sides of the ball.
