However, I have see a lot of teams with an overly simple DAI and just call a lot of core plays with few to no situational calls. That doesn't make a good DAI, even if it works at times. So I posted my core system which is probably very similar to many of the better DC's AI's.

LOL DAMN! ...just when I thought that I had a reasonable DAI

When I did GL plays last season, I sorta just looked at WL games lol and saw what they were doing in GL situations. I made 2 plays where I had coverage and 2 with blitzes I think. Would a good one for outside be having DE's cover the flat? That's what I'm planning to do to stop the QB run and the outside rush. I saw that from Ghetto Witch Dr.

Since there are no passes and only 3 rushing plays in the GL formation, why do you need more than one play?

Awesome job Gerr

Ditto. Gerr has taken over the D for my Minor League team the past two seasons and already led us to a conference championship. I've learned quite a bit just looking over his play calling and set up. Thanks for making pee-wee harder for all of us now....this is like Jay/Thunder posting the build guide back in the day all over again!

Thank you, sir! Although it may be everyday, basic, 'do-it-drunk-&-asleep-at-midnite' stuff for the rest of you guys, us new owners and DC's mostly have barely a clue about the D-calls and I'm sure it's safe to say that all of us for whom this is their first season as owner and DC (and OC too probably) when I repeat: Thank you very much.

I made some updates to it based on my findings in S21...

Removed Powerback tagging as unless you are experienced, teams could take advantage of that if they notice it. Plus with it harder to run inside, you don't need as much protection against inside runs any more.

Separated the 3WR sets as you really only need an anti-pass and RQB for the 3WR-Shotgun, but need all the other calls for the Singleback formation.

The runs you need to counter are the HB direct snap and Handoff, but the FS should be able to take care of the handoff, so just a strong side shift and you're good imo
