He must be slow playing, saving skill points until the end of the season in order to maximize their gain and training gain. It's a legitimate strategy if you're not forced into a WIN NOW situation.

My FB Lug got his 1st TD of the year today, and managed to take out the NT en route to paydirt.

It's a great strategy actually. I used it with my OT, and my strength and blocking were in the 20s before I even spent any skill points. By the time I decided to join another team, I had 60 SP to spend where I wanted.

So you had 12 levels of skill points & never spent them?
How could you compete?
How may plays a game did you get?
Where is this T now?
Is he a Beast?

My FB's first TD of his career (and my first in GLB!) He's a level 5 backup FB on a terrible team (prior to this game, the team had last 25 games in a row). I scored the first points of the game, and opened the floodgates to a 34-3 win!

I spent all my points once I joined a real team. There's no point in spending them if you're in the D-league.

And scrub league or not, I'm still competing with people who are a consistently higher level than me, and getting pancakes.

I have 42 in my blocking bar according to the greasemonkey script, which is VERY high for my level. Remember...not 42 in blocking...42 in the blocking BAR.

When I first saw the box score I knew it was too good to be true.

Half of them were CPUs, but it still brightened my day to see my FB barrel his way down the field, leaving broken bodies and shattered egos in his wake.

Here is one of my better runs of the season which has seemed to suck with running the ball.

Lots of broken tackles, I was fairly happy with this one.
