My problem is in real football you sit a LB behind the DT and run blitzes, he would have a very good chance at getting to the ball carrier before the ball carrier even gets going usually resulting a tackle for a loss. In GLBs version, the LB waits for the FB to come block him then the gang tackle happens 2.5 to 3 yards later. Also throw in the fact that 95% of pee wee teams use the full 4 downs going for it on 4th down everytime reguardless of where your at on the field, then all they really need is 2.5 yards a pop.

So in this seasons sim, do you really want to throw the ball considering you will have to throw it at least 4 times and hope like hell one gets completed in a series and still fall short, or should you play it safe and run slams all fucking day because well if the other team runs slams all game and you throw it a few times and don't complete it then that other team will slam to a 2 score lead. Your basically fucked then because your playing from behind the entire game.

It must be the father in you.
Change a few more diapers and sleepless nights and you will be cursing this damn sim also.
I know your riding on cloud 9 with your new family addition. Everything is good in your world so to speak.

Many people are @ a boiling point dealing with this. Hell even I do not log on much. Forums are dead. Fucking people report and mods don't do any research before they hit the forum ban button. No Forums, No Sim, equals No Go!
If they do not split the damn levels up on different game servers (Sims) nothing will change.

Anyway it is too early in the morning for me to get started.
They are not putting much money into this game to make it better for the consumer.
Therefore. They can now start using there backend money to fix what they broke.

No one knows what season 20 will bring. I think we all have ideas.
Sure screw with the DPC now, then we will have 5 seasons of them finger fucking with that and truly not fix what is actually broken.

Okay I am done

The truth is that this game is in Beta and we are the testers. The sim is not finalized and is still a test in progress.

You need to look at it from GLB's perspective...

Every 50 days release a new build (sim) based on QA's (err paying customer's) feedback. Add best ROI (return on investment) suggestions and update sim based on feedback received from QA (that's us the paying customer) on current sim. I am sure GLB does some testing of their own to fix obvious issues...but we are the true QA team that really does the testing. For GLB a great setup.

Sure some people complain & leave...but that's a small % of the paying customer.

Pro's for GLB with current setup:
1) It's Making money
2) No competition (monopoloy)
3) QA dept is free and actually pays to do testing
4) Only need to deliver an updated version every 50 days

Con's for GLB with current setup:
1) Delivering a finalized sim will take longer since only 7 versions are tested per year
2) Cannot make just minor updates with new versions since people wait for new version every 50 days...must make noticeable changes...again which will delay a finalized sim

IMO...we will never have a finalized stabalized sim per above. I hope I am wrong but doubt it.

To get a finalized sim you cannot have a 50 day turnaround on fixes and cannot make MAJOR changes for each new version. You need a new version every 2-3 days with minor corrections to then be tested for 2-3 days....then within 3 months you can have a finished sim.

But that would be a huge change for GLB....from 1 new version every 50 days and actually having a dedicated QA team that is paid to run the new version through numerous games at numerous levels.

I agree the current sim is broke and boring. I don't understand how DEF that put 11 players in the BOX cannot stop a run when all players are equal. How can RB's run on top of dots but upcoming LB's / DB's cannot? Either both players should be able to or the RB should have nowhere to go and get bottled up for no gain (ala NFL). Maybe we just need to create HB/FB's on DEF and play them as LB's to watch them walk on water too.

As far as gameplanning...ya its borring to run, run, run, run.....but I am more frustrated with watching my team try and pass. We built a team to control the ball and run a lot and try winning games 17-14. So yes we will run a lot....but I do feel if a DEF stacks the line then I should get 0 yards not 3 plus. I just hate to see GM's/owners getting attacked for running the ball....it's the sim's fault NOT the GM/owner/teams fault.

LOL I think it better to look at it from a consumer perspective coz we are charged a lot of money to play this 'beta' version ...over the past few years I for one have invested about $1000 and for what?!? ...we still have no idea what the sim will resemble next season

Since it is a Beta game and a MMO

I think $12.95 a month will be fine.
Give me a (1)Team and my 55 players, if I decide to CEQ and Boost that will be up to the owner to splurge his own flex money.
Ido

I agree it sucks that we pay...but if you were the owner think about it. Not saying its a GOOD thing for the consumer (ERRR tester).

A QA team like us would be expensive to pay....much better to call it BETA and let us PAY to TEST it.

Please not that any complaining I've done has not been directed at any owners/coordinators. I'm made that clear in a few other places to specific people. They're doing what's effective with the current SIM. I for one just choose not to follow along that path because I just don't find it entertaining. All my angst is directed toward the SIM and the piracy of our dollars for flex!

RUN HARD summarized it best with this statement.

The sim sucks my balls right now. Or is it, the sim sucks my right ball now?

not too difficult to work out.

Gold league leaders, there are 2 Wrs in the top 15 for receiving yards.

the vast majority are HBs.

I was thinking about this yesterday.
In real football, if a blitz comes the QB in general is outnumbered and usually throws it away or is sacked.
the very presence of a FS and SS coming up to the line may cause a false start or a time out.
We just dont have that in GLB.

We have the 2-3 yard run minimum for a well built run team, and also the strange situation of defenders running into other players ( usually a WR blocking a CB) and not running past them. This is also seen on many kick offs where the returner runs straight into the blocker holding his man.

Personally I would go 12 yard for a 1st down rather than 10 , just to stop the 4-down runs, and then lighten up the passing just a little.
This would change the current game planning for inside the 20's.
the defense can be goal-line and give up 2-3 yards but is the offense willing to gamble 4 run-downs when you cannot guarantee 3 yards each run!!

10 yards is too easy in this sim, with slams as they are.

You can fix it. Just put it back to last season's passing but downgrade (or eliminate) pump fake. Make RPP actually mean something and have it count for all slams -- if you hit 15 slams for the game that aren't 3rd and say 2 or less, then make them start going for 1 yard or less. Problem solved. Now you can pass and run inside happily together.

What determines real football? How do we measure this? The NFL? NCAA? High School?

I mean I get what you guys are saying but the NFL is a completely different game than NCAA. High school is one superstar carrying his team unless you have a team of just Div 1/BCS prospects. I know my high school did it, it happens in the NCAA, but it does not happen in the NFL. Anyways, I am rambling here.

What would you guys like this sim to look like? I mean we are allowed complaints and concerns, I get that, but hell this is the hand we are dealt (we might as well play it or quit). I am sure if we are constructive in our suggestions for the sim, they might follow through. I do agree though, we need a happy medium.

FYI - If I had to pick a stage in football I would want GLB to resemble, it would be NCAA. Alot of different defenses and offenses and it makes room for alot of creativity.

I would like it to stay the same for more than 1 or 2 seasons before they change it again.
