My guys have lots of sacks. My DE plays LDE in an extremely tough league and has lots of sacks.

Do I qualify?

My input: you're doing fine. Keep working on STR, AGI and SPD. Do not put any points in SA's for at least 7 lvls. Don't EVER put any pts into big sack.

Can you share your build?

Not really, but here is my advice for what its worth:

1) Get STR to natural 48 (i.e. 48 w/o equipment bonuses)

2) Get AGI to natural 48

3) Get SPD to natural 48

4) Split equip bonuses btwn STR and AGI -- not necessarily 50/50 but play with it and figure out the best fit.

5) Upgrade vision while also allocating pts to SA's.

6) Don't go wild on the SA's and don't put points into big sack.

Just curious as to why you wouldn't put any points into big sack? Does that mean ever or just at the beginning? Is it broken at this time?

Big Sack only works when you get a sack. Even the best players in their best games only get 5-7ish sacks in a game. They most likely won that game already if they have 7 sacks. Normal game, you play 60ish snaps and get 1-2 sacks, on those 1-2 sacks each has like a 10% chance of the ability even working. Your paying big SP's for an ability that only has a chance of working max of 5%ish of the snaps you play, and even then it only works if you have already got the sack (which is harder to do when you waste points on an ability that doesn't help you get them in the first place).

It's a nice idea, and it would be a bonus if it was a prerequisite for a more important ability. But at the end of the tree for that cost, it isn't worth it IMO.

Since its at the end of the tree -- big sack is at 2x cost which means not only is only utilized a few times per game (if you're lucky and you have a great build) it also costs you more than the other SA's. So on a SP-efficiency basis, big sack is teh big suck.

I would say possibly switch STR and AGI if you play RDE, but not max one at a time. Say put 3 points into one main, and then one into the other two main stats. Every once in awhile throw some onto tackling, vision, and stamina as well. But if you are being played at LDE, I would say go for str first. I'm reworking my DE as we speak into more of a RDE threat. I get plenty of hurries as it is, just can't quite finish out the plays.
