I would think with 20 people we shouldn't make the rosters too big.
1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D
1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D

I think having 20 people is even more reason for big rosters. You're going to need depth big time at RB and QB. Handcuffs are a necessity at K and QB probably.
Sign me up if there's space, I love deep leagues. Beats luck-filled 8 team leagues where the first guy is a patriot homer and takes Moss and Brady and Welker 3 rounds earlier than they would otherwise go, drafts a bunch of crap and coasts to a championship because he's a a total homer MO-ron.
When you're drafting 300 players, you get burned if you don't know how to fill out an FF depth chart.

Gotta be live draft too.. you can set a list if you can't make it. Best of both worlds.

I mean we should have a lot of bench space. I guess I mean smaller STARTING rosters than Yahoo's default.
And I agree about the live draft. So necessary.

The rules in the league I did last year I think had 2 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D. Theres 32 teams in the NFL and this really brings strategizing into it more because you have to think about who will have a break out season and who is going to be a good performer for a week rather than just starting the same 5 super stars every game.
Over half my super stars were injured last season haha. Or had a teammate injured that directly affected them. ie Steve Smith

Yeah but if there are 20 owners then 2 QBs would include backups. And you'd have 60 starting WRs, which is almost every number 1 and 2 in the league, not including your backups.

Okay, so any preferences on rules sets? I've never set up the rules.
I'm thinking late August for the draft date so we have pre-season to scout talent and don't have our superstars injured during pointless non-scored games.
I'm thinking Saturday August 30th around 12 noon or maybe like 1 or 2pm. That way we can have a daytime draft, people hopefully wont be out drinking just yet lol. That also gives a few days for trades if anyone needs/wants to make them.

Okay, here's what I'm thinking so far from browsing the options. THESE ARE NOT FINAL - need feedback before I set everything up
Draft: Saturday August 30th, 1pm.
Starting Line Ups-
QB-1
RB-2
WR-2
TE-1
WR/TE-1 (lets you chose between using a TE or a WR)
K-1
DEF-1
DB-1
D-Linesman-1
General Defense Player-1
Bench Size: 10
So offensive starters: 8 Defense starters: 4
That will allow 22 players per team. I'm not 100% sold on having defensive players, might reduce the # of offensive starters to have 1 RB 1 WR and then have the WR/TE changed to be a WR/RB. Trying to make this different from general shallow depth leagues.
Scoring: Haven't looked into it just yet.
