wow, props to you for taking on the rebuilding... starting in a new league is one thing, taking on a team that was dead is a real tuff deal. Good luck, the hardest part is letting the players know you are really moving in the right direction.

By the weekend, they will only have 10 human players left. At least there is no chemistry hit for contracts expiring.

hit the d leagues and get you a core of solid players to build around. there are some good high single digit players with good builds over there and they will level up pretty quick. in the off season, recruit like crazy and maybe you can pick up 2-3 stars that got cut from some of the better teams. it will take you a couple season before you are competitive, but with a good core and a star or 2, if they boost they can catch up to the rest fo the league in a season or 2. if you wait til the offseason and go for the big shots, you'll miss on 99 % and still be stuck with a bad team, and over half a season behind where you could have been.

i dont know, haha, i read most of this thread while i was at work and was in kind of a haze, and then i saw someone (i think wispersoft) say something about taking over and rebuilding and that it would be tough, and i thought they were talkin to someone in here. i was just trying to give some pointers. im not an expert at this game, but thats what i would do. i might be way off course though, lol.

Sheffield is definitely in trouble. My TE's contract finally expired today. The owner doesnt respond to PM's, post in the forum, or update the depth chart. He had a GM who was doing all the work and basically keeping the squad afloat but the GM finally got fed up and traded all of his players away before the trade deadline last season. The only active threads in the team forum are people begging to be released or counting down the days until their contracts expire. It looked to us like the owner was logging in just often enough to keep the team but not doing much else. Too bad too. The team had some active/dedicated players. Good luck everyone!

That really sucks. I hope you find a good place for your TE. Good luck. If the team is in that bad of trouble, it would be nice to give it to an owner who would actually work to make it better.

Thanks man. I've got my own team in Western Europe these days so he will fit in nicely there. Not sure why the owner doesnt just sell/get rid of the team. Seems such a waste to run a team into the ground with so many people wanting teams.

I know the feeling, I got that same shaft last season on another team I had created a lot of players for. And it is the reason I am over stocked with my players on my team. I do not like it and will slowly fade them out, or ST them but when an owner goes south and only logs on to not be inactive you really do wonder what is in their mind.
Almost like they want to see what happens with a player-less team.
And one team that is not going that way is the THUNDER... they are shooting for the top of the west, watching lighting strike when the THUNDER play!
