I would tend to disagree with you just because you do indeed smoke pot, and you can't spell straight.. or one.

By the way, I find it hard to believe you smoke weed every day of your life.. that would not only hurt you financially, but I am pretty sure marijuanna wasn't allowed in the delivery room.

Its not a very expensive habit at all. I spend 50 dollars a week. I don't smoke cigarettes. I don't drink alcohol. Considering the money I don't spend on those other two habits, I get by just fine.

Seriously though, the mental hospital my mom retired from has an entire ward of people that got spaced out on drugs. And lots of them only smoked marijuana. It's one thing to do it a little here and there, but it's another to do it all the time.

I'm sure they were mental before the weed. I have met people who respond to marijuana differently. I have a friend who is so unmotivated and used to have a lot of drive and ambition to do things in life. Now he works as a manager at a fast food place, and goes home everyday and do nothing but get stoned and watch blockbuster movies all day. Some people react differently to different things. I have never met someone who has become mental or sick over it though. I have also researched marijuana a lot and never read any studies like that as well.

Like i said earlier, I smoke weed everyday (and have since my senior year in high school), and I have always maintained a steady relationship, great grades, and a steady job as well. Granted I don't have too much of a social life right now. Between working part time, going to law school, and goal line blitz, I get to go out maybe 1 day every week if I'm lucky.

Alcohol affects some people differently too though. Some people have a glass of wine everyday when they come home, and some people drink so much they become abusive assholes and destroy their lives.

I don't think Marijuana is safe, nor good for you. But I would bet my life its done less damage to people and family's then alcohol times 1000.

You are extremely naive. DID YOU NOT READ WHAT I JUST POSTED? I work for the government dealing with the problems that substance users create. You think because people dont chemically overdose on MJ then that means they dont die from it? You couldnt have the intelligence to make GLB function if you were that ignorant so i believe you choose to ignore the facts. people do unfortunate things while high or to support their habits. they ignore their family, friends, their own safety and the safety of others while under the influence of or to get more drugs. last week i had to go retrieve a baby from a car accident caused when the parent was driving high. they didnt even buckle the kids car carrier into the back seat, couldnt tell us the day of the week.

geezus all you have to do is turn on Cops once to see i speak the truth here. but if you want to call me a liar because i choose to try and help you with a friendly warning go ahead. i can send you my credentials if you like.

if what you say is true A student, then so far you have been able to control your habit. but only an ignorant man could believe that every one has the ability to function successfully in life with a drug habit, and again certainly no one capable of passing the lsat to get into law school (even if it is only FIU) could objectively disagree with this. no, i think instead you are going to insist that the earth is flat to justify your habit which i warn you is a sign of addiction.

on a different vein it is certainly true that both meth and heroine is more destructive chemically to the body in the short term than thc. but if you are a law student then you are undoubtedly aware that in most municipalities in the united states marijuana is just as illegal as meth or heroine. i hope you dont end up practicing what you are learning at FIU as a jailhouse lawyer. I used to work in corrections and there were plenty of guys that started out with your attitude in the joint. everyone regretted how 'liberated', 'free', 'super cool' or whatever they thought they had been over some insignificant dumb ass plant.

you have choices man. you can live how you want to live, i am not tellin you any different. just trying to get you to think about how that should be. meanwhile i hope to god myself or anyone else doesnt come across you on the highway while your lit. I would have to be a total moron to drive high. Why risk everything I've worked for? Better yet, why smoke and risk getting pulled over with weed in my car when I can smoke in my own apartment care-free and not have to worry about cops ruining my day?

I appreciate the fact that you say I'm able to control my habit, and I do understand not everyone can have the self control that I have when it comes to smoking pot, but this all started because you mocked me, so remember that.

You try to belittle me not only in this post, but in other posts as well calling me a stoner when you need to just let me be and mind your own business.

Why don't you find everyone who has a nickname with budweiser in it and mock and belittle them? You have your beliefs, and I have mine. This is GLB talk though, and your the one throwing personal blows, not me.

sure you can try and tell the judge that its just weed man! and no one ever died of marijuana dude! perhaps you even float some of that legalese you learned at FIU across the judge, and when he sends you to the gray bar motel you can call him a preaching fascist nazi that you hope dies just like you did here in this forum. i have one or two of these play out about every three months or so. good luck. hey maybe ricky williams will come see you in jail since you probably idolize him as the poster child for successful pot users.

Just to play mediator, I think you both do seem to agree that drugs affect people in different ways. This includes coke, meth, pot, and even alcohol. One person that can handle having a beer after work once in a while, but another might turn that into 5 and then drive his kids to Dairy Queen.

You also both seem to agree that drugs are bad, mmkay? When you see the destruction that drugs absolutely CAN cause, such as General is saying, you can certainly understand why it's in general a good policy to simply stay away from them all together. However, that being said, to each his own and so long as you stay the F off my streets, what you do in your home is your business.

i never said you could control your habit. i was saying that you self report that you can control your habit. most addicts do self report being in control, even when you confront them with the circumstance that they have hurt someone or destroyed their lives in some way. furthermore what i mocked is the attitude your selling that the use of illegal addictive substances is not only fun but harmless. i am sure the parents of the children who undoubtedly play GLB along with the adults really appreciate that.

i belittle your behavior and your message. i feel it is harmful to yourself and others. being of a libertarian philosophy i think people should do what they like in most instances, with the exception of when it harms others. so when i see tax dollars going to pay for services that my agency provides to protect the public from the unproductive drug addicted takers of this society that kind of makes it my business, it makes it all of our business.
