This is less about guts, and caring, and more about getting to the PROS... They want you to earn your spot in the PROS. They want you to earn, to "keep" the spot. Same with WL. If a team guts in the PROS it's stuck here a season, until a lower team can earn a spot... unowutimsayin?

I absolutely do know what you're saying.
I've exchanged PMs with Catch and Ellis multiple times, and they've made it clear that's the way it is.

But just because it's the way it's always been doesn't mean it's the way it should be.
If at the start of the season there are "openings" in pro leagues as a result of gutting, why not promote the top rated AAA team that didn't make it before?

I can't speak for anyone else, but preseason is lolpreseason and neither of my coordinators gameplan for scrims whether they're ranked or not. Why do you think I avoid tournaments? <_<

Because you're building one of the top 5 teams in GLB for S18?

In the East you have Bloodweiser, who played jebs even.

None of the other East teams looked very strong in preseason or in scrims.
The might improve, but they're not there yet.

exactly. So what scrims show is strength of roster and builds.

So right now, Hub City needs to improve 60 points in roster AND gameplanning to beat Providence.
Assuming Providence stays pat. It's possible, but Providence has the advantage so far.

And don't forget Providence has good gameplanners too, who are also pretty much fiddling around until playoffs.

There are at least 5 teams in the (L)east that could contend for the final 5,6,7,8 seeds in the West.

I don't see any teams in the (L)east that could get out of RD2 in the West.

*disclaimer:

Not that I'm looking closely.

Not that I'm even looking at all.

I just know that in all my years in Oh, Canada, I've never seen a contender from the (L)east.

The last time a team from the leastern division gave The Moose any trouble was when College 6 Year Plan was still bigtiming it in the BBB leagues.
