Heh sarcasm, your defense wasn't bad, I'll give you that. But we basically didn't pass. We expected to run all over you and while we gained 5 a carry we were expecting more like 10. So you didn't really see much of our offense.
And you held the ball for 30 minutes and managed just 289 yards of offense. That's kind of like Dean Smith's 4 quarters offense. Hard for us to blow you out when you are playing keep away. We'll look forward to a rematch but I wouldn't be taking too much away from a 12 point loss in which we attempted like 8 passes. CoP was definitely resilient and I admit I was impressed. But at the end of the day hanging your hat on "not getting blown out" is a moral victory. The Monks have plenty of those as well.
We'll see how we do this time around. I expect CoP to be much improved as the builds mature. And the Skyfire are nasty. Pudong Dragons look better. But the Monks lost about 12-15 of their best players going into last season to make the Smurfs move to WL a success. We enter this season much more stable and improved at many positions.
