Um, that's not what your stats say.. they're good, but not THAT good. Your season 2 stats do look great though. Too bad about the USA Pro part (I keed, I keed!)

And about the low stats, that's pretty much spot on. Stats don't really tell the whole story, you've gotta watch the game tape for that. When you see your CB funneling WRs off to the sides and forcing the QB to ignore his side of the field, that when you know you're doing well.

to get that many INT, I question the teams that her CB is playing against. I'm sure she was apart of some 200 points wins.

I like to consider my lvl 22 CB Elite. He is not a INT machine but shuts down opposing WR. Only given up over 100 yards once in the last 2 seasons.

I mirror this sentiment.

My CB doesn't get a lot of picks or passes defended, but that's mainly because I get thrown at MAYBE three times a game nowadays. Opposing QBs don't throw to the WR I cover very often.

I've only given up one TD pass in the 35 games I've played in... and that was on a blown coverage assignment.

but isn;t it better to play way off the receiver so you give up 200 passing yards to one receiver but you will be thrown at more often so you get more interceptions?

Yup I also agree. I only get thrown to about 2-3 times a game and I am level 9. I believe my build at lvl 9 rivals alot of lvl 14-15 builds.

For me it seems the only time I give up a pass is when my team is playing zone. I think to be able to tell an elite cb is by the ration of tackles to pass deflections. It should be around 1:1 I know a lot of people don't get thrown at, but the few times it does happen, that ball should be batted down. This doesn't take into effect the fact that some tackles could be from other people blowing their coverage, or in run support. There is no perfect formula/solution.

Yep. Of my 7 tackles through the first 4 games; 3 were runs, 2 were catches by my assignment, 1 was tackling someone else's assignment on a missed tackle, and 1 came from tackling a WR who was uncovered (WTF?). Twins lined up to the right and I was the only one out there on that side as a defender... whereas we had 2 CBs on the other side with only one wideout.

This is my opinion on it, the best CBs fit into a team concept, that is reflected not in the CBs individual stats, but in the team stats. Particularly passing yards against. The weakest CB in the unit is the one who normally gets picked on, if all the CBs in the unit are solid, they will all have solid stats. If you are getting picked on and think you are good, you are actually a tool.

There is one particular kind of defense that is vastly superior to the other at the moment. The best teams play that defense and the best CBs imo are built to play that particular kind of defense well.

Cornerbacks are hard to make, it is hard to make a good build when all the receivers are built for speed

You think your build rivals level 14 or 15 lvl builds?

Sorry to tell you, but you're really kidding yourself.

Yeah, your CB is off to a nice start. But in no way does he look like a level 14, much less a 15.

One of the better CB's is Anfiach who plays for the Bedford Rats in Canada AA #1. I'd like to think my guy Tibereaux is up there, but its hard to say stats don;t tell the whole story and he's shut his side down pretty much since early last season but his high tackles and PD's show he's getting thrown at (tackles can be equated to helping on running plays, thats where this season's tackles came from).

Impossible to tell by game stats who the great CBs are. Alot of the better CBs hardley get into a game because opposition QBs won't throw to the man they're covering.

This season has been frustrating for my CB, in the last game in 65 snaps only 2 passes came his way. One for a 10 yard gain the other was a wayward pass over the players heads for an incompletion. Bloody frustrating when you see the other CBs getting more passes directed to them in one set of downs than you get in 2 games!
