No bug, that is why you don't set a CB to aggressive in the playoffs. Obviously there are a ton of ROLB/LG/RG bugs and there has been for a few seasons now. They did make the forums. they were being looked in to, they still suck, and nothing has been done. When something like this is found, according to the DPC page, the DPC is to be limited or removed until it is fixed. Personally, I see it as a problem with the G's (both of them) "deciding who to cover" in the sim. Also, some of those plays you posted are not exploits. It's good coverage/blitzing which comes from good scouting and proper planning. I'll give you good coordinating but seriously, trying to take away from the Whores rather than return the compliment is juvenile.
yello - It's not really a secret. The WL is full of similar blitz packages for 3WR sets and many of the teams going WL this season are crushing teams by using it. Do I like it? no. Do I use it? no (I don't run the Whores D). Do I blame people for using it? Absolutely not. It's there, it's known, it's obviously not being corrected.... why get beat by it when you can just plan around it and throw it right back?
I'm not going to take anything away from the whores, who have a very good team. And turkish knows this.
However, I will say this. When you don't run this singleback blitz all season long, or at least in the tape of games that I watched, then run it in the playoffs against the favorites, well, that's not good gameplanning, or proper scouting. That's specifically using a bug to attempt to gain an advantage.
To be honest, I think the whores, much like Kingman, can give us a real game straight up. But, instead, the whores dc, for whatever reason, decided that it would be more advantageous to them to run the singleback exploit blitz than to put together a gameplan.
Outside of OPL, we've played many teams this season, and each time, save a couple where I didn't have time to properly scout and plan, we gave them the best games we could straight up. Sometimes we won, and other times we got smoked. But, Bug and I talked about singleback blitzes at the start of the season, and made a conscious choice not to use them as they are taking the lazy way out. At least, in my eyes.
And further on that point, not one of those teams we played used that blitz against us (not Nairobi, not cincy, not the blaze, no one).
As it were, it's pretty much a moot point anyhow.
