Someone (Mob-6, I believe), was suggesting that vision plays a meaningful role in the effectiveness of spin. Anyone else have info/thoughts on this?
My understanding was that while vision assists somewhat in the firing of certain SAs (perhaps including spin, though I've heard this most often in the head fake/juke context), the effect on the frequency of firing is fairly marginal, and non-existent on the actual break-tackle roll itself.
Look at it this way, vision helps you avoid tackles- you see an oncoming defender so you take a better angle at avoidance. Now let's say you have a defender coming at you, but he is going to get a hand on you.
-Player one with low vision takes a poor angle and will get hit squarely in the body by the defender
-Player two has high vision and takes much better angle and will only be able to be diving tackled
Which guy do you think is going to have the best chance of breaking the tackle? The guy spinning out of a defender right on him or the guy who is spinning out of the way from a desperate diving tackler?
