First step and Change direction would be tons better, even shed blocks would be better.

Zone focus is key for a MLB as a MLB should almost always played in a zone

Underdogs, you are an idiot and have never built a successful player past the AA leagues. Stop giving out horrible advice.

Congrats on "coaching" and having plenty of retired players. You are still an idiot, have never built a successful player past the AA leagues and again, stop giving horrible advice.

well you obviously dont know that
1.) zone in this game pretty much sucks atm
2.) even before zone got nerfed (im sure has been slightly de-nerfed... but it still isnt what it used to be), MLBs were usually used in man

To actually help in this thread, since I'm currently done with Underdogs, how you build your MLB will be completely on what arch you decide on. With MLB, you really only have two choices, HH and combo. If you go with HH, I'd suggest going tackling first (either the third or fourth cap), Strength or agility (to either the third or fourth cap then the other) and then circle cap vision and speed to how ever high you want to bring them. You have to take advantage of the .5 gain on majors, so speed will have to be the fourth attribute at the earliest with the HH arch. Going tackling first will give you an advantage early, since you won't miss many tackles early and can start forcing fumbles sooner, and you can make up not capping speed some by pumping all equipment there.

If you go combo LB, I'd go speed-agility-tackling-vision-strength.

As for AEQ, +3 5% make tackle piece is a must have no matter what type of LB you make. If you want to make a HH, a +3 5% FF piece would be a must to go with it. For a HH on SA AEQ, I would either go MH or DG to save sps, or go SV to save BT getting 5 a second extra SA, since head hunter will be the first choice.

For a combo, I'd go SB of DG.

As for zone or man for a MLB, it will depend on what your DC is planning. I've seen a MLB play a lot of zone and I've seen a MLB play a lot of man.

Is a 5% piece really all that much better than a 3% piece?

no, not really. but i go for 5% pieces anyways (just because i like that fresh 25% on my piece)... or at least for the first piece. if im going for say, 2 FF% pieces, i would go with a 2% and a 5%.

when you have SV it works agility plays a huge part as well
