I"m dumping all my points into Agility next level up.. I've got tons into Stamina cause the team I was on before.. The owner didnt like spending money so we were all getting 99 or more plays a game cause we had no depth at all.

It looked like a lot of vision, too.

2nd best move in that play was the LE's lick on the TE! MONSTER!

Can't be amazingly high. He's only level 14, and I didn't check that QB level. It's an amazing play though...but I doubt he has 50.

That play was caused by a good vision read as anything else.

Well, I just took my time and built him the right way.

He might not excel in any one category, but he's pretty good in a few.

I totally agree. I have 40 agility, only around 30 speed, but my LB is playing fine. I definitely think agility is more important, though you can't totally ignore speed.

Agility is vastly overrated by you guys. The only players who need agility in real life are the HB, CB, S, WR, and maybe an elusive QB. Linebackers dont run around people they run through them. Take a look at most of the replays on this site. In order of importance...

1) vision
2) speed
3) strength
4) tackling
5) stamina
6) agility

Um.. he definitely came off the ball quicker than the guy opposing him on that play. How you can deny that when you even said it yourself? Agility in this game is also Acceleration.. so? Answer my question above though. I'd like to prove a point to you.

Alright, well I'm going to answer this for you because you went offline... The Top 5 LBers in the game today "in my opinion" are:

MLB Brian Urlacher
MLB Lofa Tatupa
OLB Demarcus Ware
MLB Patrick Willis
OLB Shawne Merriman

Now, I'm a pretty solid believer in that Madden's ratings are pretty dam solid. Well, I want you to look at.. let's say three stats from each of these players on the new Madden 09 ratings. Speed, Acceleration, and Agility..

Brian Urlacher ..... 88 SPD ..... 90 ACC ..... 88 AGI (Cover LB)
Lofa Tatupa ..... 85 SPD ..... 94 ACC ..... 85 AGI (Balanced LB)
DeMarcus Ware ..... 87 SPD ..... 97 ACC ..... 90 AGI (Pass Rushing LB)
Patrick Willis ..... 91 SPD ..... 96 ACC ..... 88 AGI (Balanced LB)
Shawne Merriman ..... 87 SPD ..... 95 ACC .... 88 AGI (Pass Rushing LB)

Alright, so after looking at the data. There seems to be a common trend among all these LBs. 4 out of the 5 there AGI is the SAME as or slightly better than their SPD. And WAIT! The biggest trend out of all of them..

Every one of their Accelerations is SUPERIOR to their SPD.

Now, GLB combines the ACC & AGI stats into one stat.. Agility. So, by the stats and data I have posted above, AGILITY should be more important then SPEED in this game. And that's why I started this topic, to see everyone's opinion on the topic. Now, I can see how some people have SPD higher than AGI on their LBs, just for the simple fact that every player in GLB is very very fast. But, to say that AGI isn't necessary in GLB.. That's downright wrong.

So, in conclusion, Agility in GLB is probably a top 2 or 3 stat for LBs and NEEDS to be addressed early and consistently. Comments?
