He is a great dot though, would love to have him. Timing just wasn't right.

We lucked the hell out then.... that was the first time we picked up such a huge mid season acquisition.

I'm with you though, the only time I would ever promise a player a spot then move him mid season is if it was one of my guys... or maybe one of the main GMs since they would likely be happy improving the team if it meant moving one of their players.

In this case, it was neither, and I made commitments to guys, so wasn't going to back out on them.

How I lost the Game, Let Me Count the Ways.

1) WTF is with THIS play? Not a game loser, but a loser. Gameplan only allowed for a 2% chance of this play showing up per down, but here it is. Okay, its not a bad play. Short dump off to WR1.....QB has Quick Read SA, maxed out Quick Release VA, Vision well above third cap, and AND he has SAs & VAs to shed tackles maxed with a good strength and decent agility, and - get this - the primary receiver is NOT EVEN COVERED, his Corner Back blitzes, as he runs three yards and turns towards the QB...

And yet - my QB Is sacked before throwing the ball.

What a way to start a game.

2) DId I mention it was only a 2% for that play to be called? Did I add that my AI was set, both in the Output selection and inside the AI package, to make changes quickly? Yet, the next play - SAME WR IN!!! Works this time, but still, wth?

3) I lost to THIS defense? Geez, looks like the Skirmish Line at Bull Run! Works for me this time. Guessing it doesn't too much longer....since I lost and all.

4) Wow the hits keep coming, here both of my guards, my big bruising very mean guards who are backed up by the Center yet - fall down and go boom, leaving my FB no where to go but down himself.

They repeat their dives in the play after the next one as well. The play after THAT my Center does it. Are they cut blocking but not succeeding? Is the College Town NT somehow larger than O Linemen?

I didnt want to take the reigns mid season from ya. Chop promised never to talk about that time I bagged the local 250+lb grocery girl ever again if I took over OC'ing late this season when their OC, Stink, went on vacation.

Well, now you did it for nothing. You just told the GLB world yourself. Now I feel even worse.

I am totally kidding my friend. Were I you I would have just held that comment about our game plan but you should do your own thing.

If you had stayed on here we would quite possibly be gearing up to go WL. As it turned out last season I had way too many teams that I committed to working with when I thought you were on board and while I suppose I could have just left them hanging I didn't and thus spread myself too thin. That will not be the case this season so I hope to have our O back working like it should be and have time to devote to the scouting process. Anyway, whatever...
