I don't think it will be a choke at all. I wanted to wait for the HKH/Semerang game to be over before I voiced this.

Semerang will beat the Smurfs. My belief in this is why I proposed the bet to MadCow.

There were only three teams this season that even earned the right to hang their hats on a W against us. Your point was?...

your team is nothing special, not even close. SEA is nothing special this season depth wise. 2 of the teams that beat you are merging into 1 badass team, and that other team will again shit on you next season.

MC, I typically agree with you but just because a team beat the Hustlers that doesn't mean they are any good, so having 2 teams that beat the Hustlers combine could actually become a team that still isn't any good.

I agree that the Smurfs+Monks = awesome but your line of reasoning is flawed

I don't see anything pathetic about it. It's good business. If you think that any team in Naga currently can move up and make the playoffs in WL w/o enhancing its roster, you're out of your mind. When the Jam and the Whores rolled thru here, they were Pro teams on steroids compared to these rosters. And they still tweaked their teams for WL a little bit.

The Smurfs have a really good team and a nucleus of talent for WL. But they have got to do some things. I like the make up of the Red Bulls and I love their front office talent. But having played them and knowing the Monks are not WL worthy w/o changes, I'm certain they are not either.

I am certain from what I've seen of the Smurfs operation and what I've heard of the Red Bulls operation that they have the front office talent to get it done. But...rosters must adjust unless you roll thru here like butter and have zero close games. So the Smurfs will get 10 or so of the Monks top players - I have the replacements and then some to do that. It is a no brainer as they have joined our org and have given us more resources for the long haul.

I've got nothing but respect for both of the teams who will meet in the Naga championship and they are first class orgs. That seems to be missed by you somehow, at least in the case of the Smurfs. Naga as well as SEAPL will be represented well by whichever team wins. And that goes for the Garudas and CRR on the other side as well.

And I do frown on dissing the Hustlers. I have respect for every team in the SEAPL brethren. This is clearly the funnest, best league as far as forums, comp and personalities go. I will not diss the Hustlers or anyone else here. But do what you will. You and MC will both end up in the penalty box.

If a team/agent wants to diss the Smurfs or Monks, that is their prerogative. I don't find any merit in it.

tbh, hoping sock's team wins. i know i dont want to be playing them in the playoffs next season.
