I hope not. With the new extended plateau, we're not ready for WL.

I actually think all 4 teams would have a losing record next season in WL

No, any of the three are unquestionably going to be a one and done. Sorry, but it's true.

For what it's worth . . . Monowi only has four players who we have to let go because of age, and we're making massive upgrades at several positions.

And I still don't think we'll make the playoffs in WL next season (if we even manage to get that far). Look at our scrimmage vs. So Cal, who are a good team but in the lower tier of playoff teams in WL this year. That's the

If nothing else, we're really too young (and will be too young next year as well, as we're bringing some young guys in in anticipation of keeping a core together with extended plateau) to compete with the top teams in the game. And that's even assuming our builds/gameplanning are good enough, which isn't a given.

No team in CPL this season would have a realistic shot at winning more than around 3 games in the WL. Hopefully, at least two of us will be prepared to make a dent next season, but who knows? The gap is huge.

If you were peaking in Pro this season, then you're set for WL where in past seasons, you'd be fucked and the team with s6-s7 builds would excel

This is true, but remember that you won't be dealing with a lot of established WL teams declining during the season anymore. That place is about to get a whole lot tougher.

Returning from WL:

Bloodweiser All-stars

6 from AAA
Probables:

West
1 Canadia's 15-0-0 35
2 Windsor Wildcats 14-1-0 6

2 of these 3:
3 The Disturbed 12-3-0 -1
4 Chesapeake Panthers 12-3-0 2
5 Quahog Drunken Clams 12-3-0 6

East

1 Sacramento Vikings 14-1-0 3
2 Widow Makers 14-1-0 9
3 Prince Edward Island Mi'kmaqs 14-1-0

about half or maybe more of those AAA teams wouldn't even survive in CPL. I'm not even sure we will.

You guys will do fine. CPL isn't a massive jump from the other top AAA teams.

I hope they have a farm team ready to step in if they go.

I hope that isn't what they have to step in if they go to the WL.

That team is on a holding pattern waiting for our younger dots. We have a few others though that are not as far away. Nonetheless, I think we'll need to do some recruiting to compete in the WL next season.

I must say I agree, nobody from CPL looks to do too well in WL next season. The teams who stay have made a dent in GLB long before making WL, and I just don't see CPL being too strong in the last few seasons. The staying power of current WL teams and move-ups like Osaka, Carthage, Smurfs, etc., are so well primed for season 17 already.

I mean, I think Monowi will be able to compete with all the other move-ups (assuming we don't choke in the playoffs), as we'll be improving much more than them, but I think it's extremely tough to break into the WL playoff elite, simply because you've got more entrenched teams like Blaze, Hali, Kai, Shockers, Alpine, Whores, etc . . .

You need to be peaking at the right time and have all the builds to make it work, and I don't think any of us has everything together at the moment.

We'll probably win 4-5 games (or more, depending on how recruiting goes for the other promoting teams) and then regroup for a S19 run for which we'll be better positioned. Didn't expect to be contending for the WL this fast.

Monowi, like Wildfire would have been, would be best positioned to stay in CPL an extra season - but with extended plateau that may be a moot point.

By no means did I expect you guys to go 16-0 - I was with your team for many seasons and obv know how successful the team is, just I thought you were one season out and would dominate season 17.

Congrats, GL making it up

I just think WL season 17 will be by far the most competitive yet.

I find it funny that the only AAA Probables come from AAA #1

How about: AAA #2

West

Claremont Cocks 16-0
Nunavut Matters 15-1
Newfoundland Ospreys 14-2

East

The Bastard Sons of Doug Flutie 16-0
Danzig Raytheon 15-1
Barrie Baycats 14-2
