I have never had any trouble with download or connection speed on PS3.

The "alleged" better "servers" that people always bring up when this conversation comes up is a result of exactly what you mentioned.

The "community" of XBOX is bigger (not because its better, but because it came out first, was cheaper, and we all know microsoft always wins the advertising war) therefore "gamers" are more attracted to it and play it.
"Gamers" have better internet connection than the every-day user, thus if you attract the gaming community you will appear to have better "servers" even though the game people are comparing are all P2P networking.

The "Gamer" to "Non-Gamer" ratio has always been an issue that has plagued P2P networking, and has been until recently (when Dial-Up pretty much vanished) the largest issue with console games succeeding via online play.


I didn't read past this, but D-town is right on. I was a PS3 user for a while, and the horrible connections and other things (It seems 360 games had better graphics and looked like a bit more effort was put into them) lead me to change. Since I've changed, the only lag I've ever experienced on 360 is in UFC Undisputed, and that's because they're servers are screwed up while waiting for a patch. In the end, 360 is a better buy and it definitely does have a better community based off it's products quality and servers over Sony. As for the marketing war, I see a PS3 commercial every other commercial break on ESPN.

There is nothing that is sooo much better about xbox than ps3...ive played both an experienced the same things on both. There's always lag on both games regardless. The better graphics you speak of is nonexistant unless you are using an HD tv for xbox and a non HD tv for ps3...i've played both on HD and both on non HD and it looks the same. There isn't any change i can see from ps3 to xbox...except the fact that xbox users have to pay to play online and ps3 users don't. Granted the fact that ps3 costs more initially, xbox is making back the difference in cost between the 2 systems and then some considering the amount of money you have to pay to use online. Id rather dish out all the money ahead of time and not get charged every month or year (whatever you choose to do) to play my games online. It should be free and that's why ps3 is better

I guess, but 50$ a year is not all that much to have such a bad ass community a bad ass system that is here to stay, super nice graphics in 1080P.
NetFlix Streaming through the console.

They do not call it PS3 for nothing, you will have to buy a PS4 pretty soon I am sure.
Look @ PS2 compared to PS3...night and day.

Sony will take a check from you guys sooner or later for a new console to play new advanced games.
If you notice some PS2 games don't work on PS3, you get what you pay for.

Netflix is one of the best features tbh. I can watch basically every movie/TV show. And best of all, all 360 users are getting ESPN3 free starting this fall. So while PS3 users can't watch any live sports, we'lll get every single sporting event going on and on replay.

i have Direct TV and get all the sports i need, wtf is espn3...i dont wanna watch replays of games, i wanna watch live games. The only thing you say is better is the netflix, well anyone can buy netflix, you just get yours on your xbox so wat? i can do the exact same thing and have them ship it to my house and i can ship it back whenever i want. Still no advantage

ESPN3 is live events. ESPN3 has every single sporting event in the world, but say you don't want Direct TV, you can get every football/basketball game and you can watch them on replay. I too have direct tv and a 100 inch projection TV, and I still like to watch some games on ESPN3. (It's a live-streaming site, very little to no lag) And netflix, it's instant. So I can go into it on xbox (It's like an iPhone app) and go through thousands of movies and watch them instantly, or go online and add them to my instant queue. So while you wait for shipping, I can watch as many TV shows as I'd like in an hour.

Do you think before you post? I try not to step on peoples toes and I'm probably the least confrontational person alive, but I honestly have to believe you just didn't think about this before you posted it.

Do you honestly, and I mean think honestly here, think the following:
1) XBOX is here to "stay" and will never be replaced by a bigger better system by Microsoft
2) Somehow its a good thing that a company is never going to release a new and better system
3) Somehow the PS2->PS3 (which you admitted to be a huge tech upgrade) is somehow different from the XBOX->360 upgrade (which is obviously less of an upgrade than PS2-PS3).

Man, no offense but you really should think before you post, I really think a lot less about you after having read something as pathetically thought out as that post.

PS3 has a very extensive movie rental system which is extremely cheap as compared to going to the store and renting them, I don't know if Netflix is available but if it isn't yet it is just because Microsoft rammed enough money down there throat to keep it exclusive for awhile, so don't be surprised to see "EFlix" or some spin-off of Netflix to make a huge rise here as Sony won't settle to be behind Microsoft because they have a little pull in the electronics world too.

You didn't read the post that clearly argues every point you made and proves it to just be uneducated jibberish.
