And I don't think we need to mess too much with Gold promotions; you basically just to have Bort stick to the process rather than allowing teams that wish to move down to simply give their place up to whomever they decide. There is something in place now to handle it, it's just not always enforced.

Plus, if there was a reshuffle of Silver teams then you wouldn't have leagues like Silver 2 where you have 4-5 teams in one conference that could be dominating a normal league. With a random shuffle, you are more likely to have better teams overall being promoted as the quality Silver teams are dispersed. Right now they are accumulating into a couple leagues which means teams from weak leagues are going to Gold while better teams are out there but stuck in insanely tough leagues.

What if my previous suggestion was used and we had all of the league champions play together in a league additional to the regular one? So, the league winners would each be in two leagues. And you would have the Gold league with all the top teams and a Champions league with all the league winners. That way teams in lower leagues can still compete with upper level teams if they are good enough as they work their way up the ranks.

Also, you could take the top 4 teams or so from the Champions league and place them into the Gold league. That way if your team is really good it would only take 2 seasons to get to Gold.

Keep the promotions/demotions as is, but randomize the teams in ALL leagues, including Gold, each and every season!

+1 to a complete randomisation.

If anyone can think of a way that Bort can improve on the peewee shuffling script permanently, Id be all for it. Until then, the other ideas suggested just dont cut it, so a complete randomisation is the only option in my eyes.

In Gold for instance

Take the Odd Numbered Teams from the West and the East & Even numbered Teams from the East and West.
1-16 from each and move the Even numbered teams together and then the Odd. It will sill work out according to strength of team or how they finished the season before but would randomize conferences.

Above After Silver Teams are promoted, place them @ the bottom of each conference, not @ the top before numbering the teams 1-16 on each side, take the even #s put them together, then the odd numbers together. Do it like that every season, so a team might be in the East one season and the West the next.

Just an idea for Gold.

Silver is whole different nightmare. To fix the F up from last season is hard to undo, but you have to start somewhere.
Maybe something like above. After a complete shuffle. Take the East of League 1 make it the West of League 2 and cycle on down through the leagues.

I think the way Bort put people in to leagues this season is the perfect way to handle it, the conferences just need to be shuffled so that the conferences aren't one silver conference and one copper conference, but rather a good mix of copper and silver teams in each conference.

I do however like that the copper teams move up together, this is great for keeping people interested in the game, imo completely randomizing which Silver league you were in would destroy the rivalries that make silver fun, I understand that Gold league is important but I don't think we should sacrifice the silver rivalries just to be sure that the perfect 32 teams are in gold each season.

That is how it originally was so why not change back?

I say we do a Kansas City Shuffle.

Of course, you can't have a Kansas City Shuffle without a body. Any admin want to volunteer? Maybe someone who owes Bort and Catch a lot of flex?

I did the Super Bowl shuffle a few times back in the day.

No Steelers fan, that's Adrian Clayborn from Iowa. I'm a Hawkeye, but now live in San Diego and am a big Chargers fan.

And I'm very confident that I did the Ickey Shuffle a lot more than the Super Bowl shuffle. Playing football on the playground in elementary school (probably about 4th grade) we would do that whenever we scored, lol.
