im lost, haha. why do OL and DL have to have such high attributes and extreme builds?

As an NT, you pretty much want every single bit of EQ in strength--speed for NTs is extremely overrated and with Bull Rusher being what it is Strength is infinitely better than Agility for interior D-linemen in the current sim. An 120 strength NT would probably get pancaked pretty much every single play by the inevitable 150-strength C.

Current Sim is all about Strength>Agility>Speed for DT/NT Vision to 68 and tackling to 68 are both good as well. 125/100/80 is a pretty good build to shoot for.

Speed isn't overrated. Momentum is helpful in the break block wars, it helps you get faster to a ball carrier if things go your way, it is unfortunately necessary. I'd love it to be overrated. It's not.

Speed is severely overrated when it comes to all D-linemen. Speed helps with making your guy faster, but you won't have enough room to get a ton of speed going, so your max speed is largely limited by that gap between your DL and the OL.

You can't move back further to get a larger running start... but yes, the faster you can go the better. But you most likely need SA's like FS to achieve these.

Speed also influences your acceleration. Do not forget this.

not true at all. A 115 strength, 110 agility, 90 speed NT with high shed, break through, break block % first step, and the right VAs can do very well.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1304875 - at 72 his base attributes will end up around

98 strength
90 agility
80 speed
56 stamina
64 vision
52 confidence
66 tackling
25 jumping
2-4-2-9-0
5-10-1-1-1
+23% break block
10 first step

And I will have 25 sp to add to that build depending on what is needed by the SIM. I may have to go with confidence and stamina, but if not, I can get another 3 pts of speed added on. I'm probably going to do +43 strength, +12 agility with the equipment.

at this point, speed on any DL over 85 is overkill imo. the only exception are the speed DEs who have 115-125+ speed...

You obviously haven't seen how effective 90 speed, 10 FS, 15 JTS DTs can be.

fwiw, i'm not saying it can't function...i'm saying there's probably a better build that you can get.
