It could be an apology for the new training system.

I like the sim more so than the building players. Now that I have figured out how I want my players (took 4 seasons) they go and fuck it all up again.

See, and I love it because it gives the rest of us who experiment a lot more a chance to work within an entirely new system.

The fact that there was a best way to build meant that the old training system was broken.

And there will be a best way to build with the new system, too. We just don't know it yet.

But TBH, once GLB leaves Beta and the sim pretty much stays the same, I think the game will get REAL boring. Once everything is set in stone: how to build players, which plays to call, how to shut down certain offenses, it'll just be doing the same thing over and over again.

Now it's more exciting, because you never know what the next season will be like. You'll have to learn something new, you'll have to find what's working and what's not. Once the build guide is set in stone and tactics won't have to change, I think I'll save the money and get a goldfish.

I guess I never thought about it in that sense... I dunno how that will work.

So you think that there will eventually be a best way to build under the new system?

I think that as tactics will still switch every season, eventually someone comes up with a way to break the mold wide open.

Everyone decides that the best way to build is to have 7 points in pump fake on a QB, so defenses suddenly have to invest heavily into vision or superior vision to counter it. Suddenly one team invests in catch in stride and 70 speed and they are just flying past the CBs on the ten teams that invested in vision.

Suddenly one team decides to put a Center at HB with 10 points into Power-thru and just lights up the league...

Tactics will always be in motion so long as there are teams out there who experiment. The only time the league will turn out as you describe is when LE is running all 16 teams in the East and Gerr is running all 16 teams in the West. These are people who believe in a plan and a certain way to do things right. Mccollums is a great coach, but even better because he is excited to try new things and work them into his system or build a system around them.

LE will always be great because he gameplans and sets his tactics better than anyone else I've played against, but someone will always be pushing him to adapt and THAT is what makes Pee Wee great.

/Pee Wee is Great and always will be rant.
