It is a lot.

With coaches, they are just trying to keep people in the game. I have a feeling too many were falling off after their player retired. This way you keep the original players in the game and hopefully they will create a player or two again.

Its about the money... it is a way to make people use flex in a non-refundable way. To be competitive at the highest levels you will need the edge coaches give you.

Without a doubt its about the money. . . If they really wanted to make it about people being able to keep their players longer then why not figure out a way to extend their actual playing career. More people would enjoy that than coaching. The only change I did like was the financial system change, and if that were being implemented by itsself It would be a great offseason IMO. I will likely retire my old guys, and really young guys, and just keep my team(or try to since alot of players will be getting retired) roll with like 4 players, and use flex already invested

greed is a good thing.Just hope they dont kill the game. The no cash trade thing will change how teams get players, a lot..And I saw this coming from forums. The Snakes disbanded its farm team from the end of last season.

The game is a foot, ball

I am glad to see the goofy financial stuff go by the board. Who wants complexity in that area? In the end, we would be back where we are now in terms of team cash and the haves v. have nots. Then what? An even more complex financial system to buy a few more seasons of level ground?

Anyway, good decision to scrap that and while I'd rather not have the coaches and mess around with training again I am sure that both will add elements that I'll come to appreciate.

I should have stated it more clearly but what you wrote is my point.

I've been playing since season 2, OC since season 4, and owner since season 6. These changes have pushed me over the edge. I will be selling October Wildfire next season, and trying to phase out the time I spend on this game as a result.

I helped take my team to WL from BBB, and I learned exactly what it takes to succeed at this game. Unfortunately, the time and money it takes to reach those goals has simply skyrocketed, as this came continues to cater to the successful more and more.

It takes over a year of your life to build a dot worth watching. It will now take 3-4 years to build a head coach for a team. It costs $50 for a skilled position player even at 50% flex discount. To field a team of 55 players at an average cost of 200 flex each takes 150,000 flex and 1.5 years. That will now grow even larger.

I am right there with you on this one brother.

I too started in season 2, bought a team in Season 5 and worked it up from BBB to here in the Pros.

Not quite ready to say I'll sell the team, but with these changes I'm going to need some serious help to keep it running the way it has in the past. I just can't afford to sink any more time into it than I already do, and certainly don't want to have to dump more cash into it to remain competitive.

I think it's great actually. I had all this money just piling up and I had no idea what I was going to do with it. I am very thankful that Bort has found a way for me to spend it.

Yeah I'd like to avoid gutting Wildfire, would much prefer to find an owner who would take over. Would also need coordinators, etc., so not sure how valuable our team is especially if we drop to CPL

Yea the new changes have caused me to want to scale back too. This season I suspended my OC'ing, but next season I might suspend myself from GLB entirely, but I'll take it one day at a time and see how things develop. Perhaps adjusting to the changes will take time, just as embracing the name "Nintendo Wii" did.

The only way Bort and Catch will return to listening to their customer base is when it impacts their financial livelihood. If you stop paying for flex and revenues are decreased, they will listen. Trust me.

Think about this - the more popular this game has become, it stands to reason the more profitable it has become. And associated with that has Bort been less and less concerned with the feedback of the player base.

To return the power, you simply need to vote with your wallet.

UCLA, you shouldn't leave. That accomplishes nothing. What you SHOULD do is play with house money. Use only the flex returned to you on retirement. Play a few seasons with numerous players and free flex, Bort will wonder where the money has gone and what he needs to do to encourage you to buy more of it.

This game's economy works two ways. Use it to your advantage.
