Maybe it's different for me because my CB only has 92 speed and I don't intend on ever taking it higher. Raising Ball Hawk from ~5 to 10+ as my team changed leagues from AA to AAA this season was the most effective change I made, as the WR's I'm facing here are faster and better at creating separation.

Separation comes from fakes and failed vision checks, Speed is important but agility and vision are much more important in regards to staying close to the WR ... if a CB doesnt bite on alot of fakes BH is a waste ... think 90+ vision all the time not just when you see the ball coming ...

My CB has 75 base Vision, +5.63 through Football Genius and 11 Superior Vision and still acts like a monkey trying to hump a doorknob this season. I intend to keep the 15 he has in Ballhawk to counter this any way it can.

more vision and less BH will solve that, the SV is where it needs to be though

i, personally dont use ball hawk like that. i use it so i can play off a little bit and try to bait the QB to throw it in my direction so i can get the PD/INT or in worst case scenario, a quick tackle for 0 YAC. (i play my CBs on aggressive)

i guess the actual worst scenario would be allowing a TD, but if you play with your cushion slider enough, you should be able to find a setting that help prevent you from over jumping routes, but still gives you enough room between you and your man to bait the QB.

Disagree. You will bite on fakes with 1,000 vision and 50 Super Vision.
I use Ball Hawk for a number of reasons. Some WRs simply pull away from my CB as their route progresses, and Ball Hawk very often helps close the gap and secure a PD.
Ball Hawk also doesn't only increase speed. It increase agility and vision, which is active until the ball is caught, dropped or deflected. That vision/agility bonus may well increase your chances to get the PD (via improving your role) on top of its ability to help you regain distance after fakes.
The VA is only becoming more useful as WRs invest in SAs like catch in stride.

That's probably your coverage distance tbh. It makes a huge difference.

limit fakes, WR doesnt get open ... increase what they can do when the ball arrives. A CB with 100 vision will bite on a fake at some point, but a CB with 75 vision will bite ALOT more
Used BH on both of my CBs and while it has its benefits, its highly OVER rated

I was on PD's First at -.85, I think.

I have switched to INT's First at 0 yds.

well the general consensus is that it isnt very good. if you read the FAQ froum, there is some decent discussion on it, but i think we kind of hit an impasse/brick wall. on monday, im going to pay a visit to my old high school math teacher and have him take a crack at getting the equations and incorporating all the data we have.
