This isn't a new play but a suggestion for modifying an existing one...

I Formation - Medium WR pass - play name: "Medium I Cross"

The HB pathing has him go out then kind of cut back in and stop... which ends up being very near where the FB is coming to, and doesn't take advantage of space cleared out by the WR1's route.

Seems it would be much more logical for him to continue out in the flat and then eventually upfield, basically copying over the HB route from "TE In N Out" (Single Back formation). I see all kinds of daylight on the left half of field whenever I run this play and it's a shame the HB stops rather than run to that open spot (and it would also potentially clear things for the FB's route underneath... so just seems to make a lot more sense for multiple reasons).

Most of the plays don't make a lick of sense. Continually putting 2 receivers in the same area at the time the route matures.

One play I'd like to see is a 2QB formation, or a RB option play (where the QB passes to the RB, and that RB passes to another player whilst behind the LOS).

since the D seems to attack the QB as soon as he decides to run it would be nice to have the option of the QB faking a run to pull D in and then dropping off the pass to one of the open 5 guys

Couple of things really, first one, please be posting in this thread http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3941632

Second, that would be fine and dandy if there ever was a counter setting for the defense, otherwise it would just be one big offensive exploit.

Please take that into consideration when you add into the above thread

actually we dont need a counter setting for this, since there right now is a D exploit that allows D to know when the QB pulls down the ball they can ignore the pass but its ok if they add a counter setting as long as it WORKS the D can set a slider on aggressiveness if they are super aggressive they can get beat on the fake run and if they are set to passive they can get beat easier on the runs , they wont come off pass coverage until AFTER the QB passes the line of scrimmage

I like this idea as long as the RB wouldnt suffer a OOP in this type of play it would make for an interesting "BILL COWLER" type of gameplan

This has probably been suggested and rejected 8,000 times, but I always thought it would be cool to have Play Action in this game. My suggestion would be relatively simple - just add a checkbox on the AI output for play action.

In the replay, the QB would follow the handoff pathing, perhaps the ball would appear in the HB's hand's for a split second, and the reappear in the QB's and then the pass play would proceed like normal. The HB would then be required to pass block (for simplicity, rather than having to mess with the pathing on every pass play which has an HB route.

The play fake would trigger a vision check for defensive players, allowing some of them to be fooled into biting on the run, and others to not be fooled (factoring in their tactics as well, obviously pass focused defenders should be more difficult to fool than run focused ones)... the tradeoff (just as in real life) would be that the QB would take longer to get the ball away, and if a blitzer came through unfooled he could go down for a sack.

It seems as though offenses will never get a play creator (given the near endless potential for exploits I sort of understand that - even if the offenses were forced to use existing formations), but play action is an integral part of real football. It is in large part what makes passing from 2 wide formations viable in real life - if QBs weren't allowed to fake to the runningback, you'd definitely see far less passing from those sets. It also opens up a lot tactically for offenses without giving them a weapon that is too powerful for the defenses to overcome. It also would force more balanced player building (I know I would grow tired of defenders failing vision checks and the QB throwing deep to wide open receivers constantly) which has always seemed to be a priority for the game's designers.

Oh well, that's my story. Debate on.
