Nonetheless, I live in CT - a.k.a. the DMZ between Red Sox Nation and the Evil Empire. In the summer, sports fans get stupid around here, and I hate it. That's why I'll always root for the NL team to beat whichever one gets to the Series.

My mom is from Philly and I have a cousin up there still so I root for the Phillies a little. Couldn't root for them in the WS but I like the makeup of that team. That 2B destroyed my Bombers man. He is the shit. I used to spend part of my summers up in Philly when I was a kid and stayed w/ my grandma. We used to walk from her row house to a place called the Bazaar which was a place of fucking awesomeness for a country boy w/ no stores like that around. They had all kinds of cool shit there and I always beat her out of some toys. Then we'd go to the A&P and get our eats and shit.

Is your CB's last name an ode to Simon Gratz High School? My mom went there and then to West Chester U.

Nah, he's named after a UConn player - most of my guys are.

But I'm originally from South Philly (Queen Village). I didn't go to HS down there (my siblings went to Bartram High), but I did go to college in Philly - I'm a UArts grad.

And I'm guessing the Bazaar was down on Oregon Avenue, right?...
