Since everyone in here is way more in tune with how this archetype will work....can anyone give me some advice as to what to choose for my level 20 WR?

And help is appreciated

RR is good for all WRs, bort said its the same thing as SDC except for offense. so with that in mind, I'm debating on not picking an archetype for my speed WR. I want to put some points into RR but the speed archetype hurts RR. Anyone feel the same?

Being faster does matter. It's not the end all be all, but it matters. You're wrong. WR's can outrun CB's. .

I was using speed as an example to make a point, but the LB's and DB's bumps in vision and jumping (PD roll factors) are also better than any WR archtype.

The WR archtypes are overly specialized and intentionally given pretty glaring weaknesses combined with comparatively low ALG's.

WRs don't outrun CBs all that often unless they outmatch them...
Maybe a few times a season and these are builds that specialize in long gains. Considering all the bonuses to mobility CBs find it very easy to keep up for the most part with comparably meager attributes. That's all my point amounts to.
CBs with 90 or 95 speed and agility, with SDC and a lot of vision, will keep up with almost any WR for almost every play of every game, all things considered.

Believe what you want to believe.

You can't be anything but a pure speedster, possession receiver, or power receiver without it hurting your build. I find that the best, most effective all around build is in between those 3 archetypes and that none of those archetypes are good for it at all.

I personally don't believe the SA penalty is really going to be that bad. I still plan on adding to RR with my speedster just later than I would have normally.

dont think of it as a penalty SA... just like you should think of the bonus SA as a bargain SA, think of the penalty SA as a... seller's market SA or something, haha. or whatever the opposite of bargain is. the reason i say this is because the bonus (which is likely roughly around 20%) is subject to diminishing returns. so if you have 10 in your bonus SA, then the bonus should take it to effective level 12, which is really only like 11.5 (guess... no one knows what the exact diminishing returns are but the bort) if you were to look at it linearly. and since diminishing returns are pretty big as confirmed by both bort and catch, its almost better to think that the bonus is there to help you get to effective lvl 10 with only spending 8-9 SA levels worth of SP.

and so the penalty SA is pretty much the same thing, but the other way around. get it to 12-13 with some AEQ and you should have the equivalent of it being at ~10.

Possession. Doesn't look like you're trying to be a speedster.

Im a speedster. i understand how it can be a disadvantage. but i feel that since my WR is more focused towards that build should choose that. In the end these archetypes do more good than harm if u pick the right one

Yeah Im not a fan at all of building a wide receiver.

I should not be penalized for wanting my receiver to run crisp routes, because he is a speedster.

If anything, that should be a bonus. Fast and agile receivers run the best routes around, over the possession receivers. Wes Welker, Steve Smith, etc.

You can still get RR up bro... The penalty isn't all that bad IMO.

Wes Welker is not a speedster he's a possession receiver BECAUSE he runs crisp routes.

Randy Moss= Speedster (just tries to run past the defender)

Wes Welker = Possession (Crisp routes great hands fast feet)
