Alpine has played in USA Pro for five seasons, including winning the Championship in season 12, and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

When I first bought the team back in season 2 Alpine was in the Western European A-league for 15 minutes or so before I sold back the team. I really wanted to be in that region, but after looking at the strength of leagues I decided to go for a USA team instead to get the best competition. As long as USA Pro was head and shoulders above the other Pro-leagues it was the right place to be.

Now I feel that the playing field is evening out, not completely though, USA is still the best, but its close enough for me to be able to defend a move to Western Europe when the opportunity presented itself like it did this season. I am very aware that some of you will see this as a wrong move on my side and will blast me, and my team, in the forums for the decision. I understand your view very well and you might be correct. I am very unsure if the decision is correct or not and it can easily be argued that my judgment has failed me.

I hope you respect my decision though. If anyone feels that I am the biggest loser on any side of the Atlantic feel free to PM me and let me know, or write it here if you think that is appropriate.

Thanks to all the friends I have made here and for the seasons we have spent here. I will check in often and hope to not regret this move too much.

Yea. Part of my OKing it was that it was going to be a boring regular season regardless with only like 3 games to think about. WEPL will be the same lolregular season i guess but at least it'll be a change of pace. USAPL and Pro Leagues in general have gotten pretty stale regardless of region. No one really cares because only 2-3 teams have a shot at the WL in each conference. It's pretty lame that the East here had 3-4 teams who all had a chance to win the east but the drop off is pretty dramatic. Alpine, Chicago, Nashville, and ATKM were all gonna be battling it out in the playoffs but for each the regular season was going to be a snoozefest.

If this was seasons 1-10 i'd say hell no but honestly, no one really cares about pro anymore as most agents here also have dots in WL or GM some in WL. Really didn't matter.


However, as i stated in the Alpine forum i suspect this move is really about Cavalier hating America and our Freedom

Good luck over there. Don't know much about you guys, but that had to be a tough decision to leave the 2nd best league in all of GLB.
