Notable week 2 matchups:

Caprica Buccaneers vs Lima Lemurs
Both teams lost to the #1 seed and eventual Super Bowl champions in the Western conference playoffs last season. Who will come out on top as they struggle for what could be home field advantage come playoff time? We will have to wait and see, as I refuse to predict the score of my own game.

Chicago Maroons vs Midwest Mayhem
After an upsetting 17 point loss in week 1 to the Sioux Falls Storm, Chicago will be coming out of the gate strong. Midwest also suffered a heart breaker in week 1 with a 3 point loss to the DVDTalk Otters and they too will be looking to bounce back this week. Both teams will be looking to prove something this week. Midwest looking to hold on to their reputation as the #5 playoff seed from last season and Chicago trying to prove that they are worthy of the sleeper pick that so many people gave them in the off season. My prediction for the final score: Chicago (16) Midwest (21).

New York Strikers vs New Brunswick Scarlet Knights
Two very heavy hitting teams in the East. New Brunswick, playing off the pent up frustration from the loss to Manhattan in the conference championship, will be looking to steam roll anyone and anything in their path. The Strikers, coming into this season with a very strong roster, will be looking to gain themselves a little more credibility by knocking off the team that held the #1 playoff seed in the Eastern Conference last season. This will definitely be the game to see for week 2. My prediction for the final score: New York (27) New Brunswick (38)

Akron Browns vs New Hampshire Hustlers
Both teams playoff contenders from last season. Both teams looking to bounce back from their losses in week 1. Both teams with something to prove. I like the Hustlers in this one. Final score Browns (17) Hustlers (28).

NY baby, we smell blood!

Damned overtime. Thought we had Midwest down for the count but a missed field goal really ruined those hopes.
Was a good game at least, first OT of the season?

Did any of yall actually look at matchups and rosters? our offense will easily put up more than 7 on DVDtalk... its flat out better than them. have u seen the depth, or lack of it, om DVDTalks line? come on... last week u got us squeaking by a team that didnt even have a full roster, and this week getting manhandled against a team we match up well against. why do yall hate anchorage so much? show some love! it gets lonley up there in the cold!

Hate to see a team you don't match up well against.

I was sad when I saw it was the 3rd week of the season, I wanted to try and build it up the whole year, but here it is! Thanks and good luck to you too!

Thanks, I was hoping it would be alittle better than it was. You guys have definitely been the most improved team in the division since last season IMO. Nice job. Hopefully we'll get a re-match in the playoffs.

You were correct, you put up more than 7

I got that prediction correct, except for Houghton scoring 7. You see, the 'one' key on my keyboard is stuck ..... yeah, that's exactly what happened. The old 'keyboard malfunction' excuse

You guys did a good job tonight too. We are much improved this year because of one thing, teamwork. We didn't go out signing a bunch of good guys or bringing players of a higher level down a league. We just replaced our players that left with equal level team players. We might not have the best team in the league on paper. What we do have is probably some of the most diligent, hard working players and GM's in the league. We did it the right way and that makes winning all the more special. I wish all you guys who are doing it the "right way" the best of luck this season, and want to tell all those teams out there just starting out that there is a light at the end of the losing tunnel if you don't get discouraged and keep working.
