Fired Up doesn't say anything about sacks counting. It does say tackles for loss, but I don't think those count as a TFL. If you look at the box score they don't.

Crap, well at least sacks on 3rd down do.

I'm trying Aura of Int with mine.

DEs have 4 pretty good SAs already, will anyone even put points into a 5th SA for them?

Yes, especially if you have 2 sets of CE that give you added points to them.

i tried Aura of Int....i figure with a Morale penalty, which is supposed to have a little more meaning in the future it could only help...plus My DE will be lining up against the same O-lineman all game...Catch did say in a forum that the bonus was additive, so the accumulative morale drain could be huge....i might be wrong ....but the other choices kinda suck anyways so i figured i would gamble a little

Aura of Intimidation
This defender is so mean, every opposing player near him is intimidated. The Aura of Intimidation will reduce the morale of opposing players within a certain radius of the player.

This skill will put fear in your opponents hearts, making it easier to tackle or avoid them. - (avoid a blocker?)

Additional Levels:
Increases the radius of effect, and the strength of the morale penalty.

break thru. My DEs usually get double and triple teamed. Why hasnt anyone mentioned break thru?

nice for LDEs, not so much for RDEs.

The idea of the pump fake not working against a pass rushing DE may help

I'm not much of a fan of any of the choices, but I'm probably going to choose between Aura and Balance. My DE is rather light (249), so I'm hoping that balance could help with pancakes enough that I don't have to put any EQ in to Str.

I wish I knew about Blitz before I picked it

They fear buffing Blitz because it means the DE will be "too powerful". Can you imagine a buffed Blitz with 10-15 in them? It would be a killer since Blitz activates ALL the time the DE rushes the QB.



They shouldn't even have the SA as an option in the first place if they are going to make it non-useful for the position. I picked it because I was clueless about how ineffective it was and now I'm stuck with it.

Bingo. If you have a successful pass rusher, teams will try to double you up with an extra blocker (or two linemen if you are in a 3 man front). I won't have much to spend on it since I can only get SP through bonus token trade-ins, but it beats the rest of the underwhelming choices.
