Looks like you can retire them and make the new archetypes on day 41. So you lose out on 2 tp, but get to make with new archetypes. sorta a toss up

well, if you need to retire players to get flex, your waiting until day 41, no matter what.........

Games are still being played on day 40.......contracts expire at rollover......day 41 you can retire players and get flex back.....

And per the Q&A chat last night...it will be available day 41 (for the OP question).

Question...If I am reading this right, does this mean that if we create plays every day 41, give them CEQ and boost them, but retire them on the next season's day 41, that we will NEVER loose any flex?

No. As I understand it, this is a one-time bonus refund. It will only be available this off-season. They're rolling it out to encourage people to take advantage of the new archetype system and to build a big new class for season 15.

We should enjoy it while we can, but don't expect it to ever happen again.

This. It's a 1-time deal this offseason only.

So we can boost & buy CE today, then retire on day 41 and get 100% flex back?

Am I reading this right?

Thanks guys...

Yes, as I understand it, that's exactly what this means for everyone created since S12 D41. People created between S11 D41 and S12 D40 will get 80% back (instead of 70), and everyone created before S11 D41 will get standard refund.

I expect the Cap-18 and cap-22 leagues to be a wasteland next season.

Just an update to add on to this: Pee-Wee/Casual teams are going to be increased to 450/500 flex per season to avoid the multi-exploit for a team.

Also, there will be a new point system called Reward Points. No news on it, but if you read the test server discussions, you can see the 6 major update they're looking at.

Ok so all I have to do is create another multi and pick up on the referral flex.
