* Note: Unlike the East, there is a clear-cut Game of the Week in the West. For my money, I'd take Kansas City...not just against the spread, but for the win. Curtis and crew have shown more than the projector gives them credit for. Will they be 20-0? Not sure yet...the game against Saskatoon is the first of three tough challenges in a row, but I do see them at 11-0 after this one.

We're perfectly comfortable operating from the underdog role.

GL KCG.

I actually think Kansas are the underdogs. They've had the easiest schedule of the season. Take a look at their remaining schedule. At least Saskatoon held it close to Queensland, Winnipeg, and beat MJ, so we're battle tested.

You're correct. Kansas City has had the easiest schedule of any team in the Western Conference. They're ranked #2 in the West and over their final six games they'll face the five teams currently ranked first, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth. They've got a brutal end to their season.

To suggest, however, that the Gorillas aren't "battle tested" may be a stretch. They've been in Canada Pro since Season 11 and (counting this season) they will have made the playoffs in three out of four years here. Their list of coordinators and GM's is a "who's who" of the GLB community. I can't say for certain...but my strong suspicion is that KCG has been holding something back in anticipation of this three-game stretch against Saskatoon • Queensland • St. John's. I guess we'll know tomorrow...

The top five teams in the western conference is a cut above the rest of the competition in the conference.

I fully expect that KCG has been coasting a bit for a few weeks, unlucky draw for us that we don't get a top rated game or two to scout but that's just how the cards fell this hand.

As for KCG, I have no problem with them being the favorite...they've been here, done that and earned their stripes.

We'll have to earn ours as well.

I like the Silverbacks by 20.

No knock on KC. KC obviously has an all star coaching staff,
maybe the most storied in Canada pro.

But Silverback's personnel has definitely been tested far more than KC's
this season.
Silverbacks have done better vs. common opponents. Silverbacks
also have a fine coaching staff (though maybe without KC's reputation).

KC has a murderer's row coming up - they could lose 5 of their last 6 games if things go poorly.
Even if they play and coach well, they could lose 2 or 3 of those games.

Dear god, thanks for the added pressure Dimmy!

IF we do win this one, I expect the final score to be closer than that. KCG are a stout squad.

Plus, I hate that this had to come down to Gorilla on Gorilla violence.
