With how juiced up the steelers were in comparison to the rest of the nfl it's close.

Any empirical data to back that up or do you always speak out of your ass?

Uhh. Steelers players from the 70s have even said they were ahead of the curve and on roids in the 70s. I thought this was common knowledge by now. It has been talked about the last 5 years more but has been known for a long ass time. Bradshaw talked about it too in the past i think even on whatever crappy sunday nfl show he does.

You serious you didn't know this?

Ofcourse they were on roids but it wasn't only the steelers who were ignorant about roids in the '70's. It was an NFL wide problem since people at the time didn't know the side effects. Placing it all on the steelers is ignorant.

Well, the steelers have been the poster child for nfl steroids in the 70s and from interviews and reports seemed to have been ahead of the curve somewhat in using them for strength gains. Yea, it was the NFL's problem for not really knowing what was going on. ALthough, it's not the case that they didn't know what they were doing. People in the 70s still knew it helped performance and strength

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyle_Alzado

Lyle Alzado is the first major NFL star to admit to steroid use and he started in 69 and played against that Steeler bunch. He said roid use was rampant back then.

I'm talking in terms of Negative side-effects, not positive
