LDE that led the league in hurries and was 2nd in sacks during Season 2. Yes, he played LDE all season.

You do end up getting double and triple teamed depending on the package the offense has in, but you want your better DE over there anyway since most of the runs go that direction.

FALSE!

I let the build of the DE dictate what side of the line he is on. Can't tell you much more because I don't want to spill the beans

I'm starting to think agility might be a great main attribute with strength and speed following. I've no real evidence but a few musings of mine, but I'm building a Agility De right now and I reckon he could be pretty good when levelled up properly.

Hard part for DEs, if the OT your facing is a strength hound, and has a few points in Shock Block, it can really limit your pass rushing ability (which I think makes a difference in why RDEs are more successful on pass rushes).

Holy crap your guy is insane

what the set up?

str 100%
agi 90%
speed 90%
vision = with tackle? at about 60%?

so,
str 50
agi 45
speed 45
vision 35
tackle 35?

my LDE took on a triple team this last game. didn't make the play, but it was nice to see him occupy 3 blockers without getting pancaked.

Trust me, I don't need you or anyone else to "spill the beans". I think it's obvious to just about everyone on this thread that the DE build dictates what side they are on. It looks like the better DE on your team is on the left side so your "FALSE!" statement doesn't really apply. Str/Agil left, Speed/Agil right (primary). Oops, beans are spilled.

i think build and maybe opponent.
within the build i think agi and speed are most important.
cuz since i had agi is my highest skill and then str, once i started to add speed i got so much better
the game i jsut played even though i dropped back in coverage about 80%, almost everytime i rushed the passer i got around the OL. and this happened right after i started to focus on speed and agility. Strength is an overrated skill for pass rusher. when i started to up speed and agi i started to produce

I played RDE most of last year and I put up solid numbers. I had over 60 tackles and over 15 quarterback hurries, but I only got one sack the entire year. I was able to move over to LDE towards the end of the year and my stats went up.

I also was able to play LDE during preseason and my stats were awesome.

I'm back over on RDE now. You don't put up the same type of stats. Through three games I have 4 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 hurry. I feel if I played on the left side I'd average at least 5 tackles a game.

It seems to me the LDE usually puts up better numbers.
