why would i cheer for the saints? the colts have the more classy and better run organization. katrina was 5 years ago now, i don't get all this linking the saints to katrina, did anyone link the giant's sb win to september 11? aside from the fact i don't see what sports has to do with events in history.

anyways so taking what i said from above, why would i cheer for the saints? just because they are the underdog? that is a lame ass reason. it isn't like the colts are the "yankees" of football, they don't have a million championships in their history. peyton might go down as the best qb ever, and he is doing it with a lot of integrity. how can you not cheer for a guy like that or an organization as good as the colts? I wanna be able to look my kid in the eye eventually and be like "yeah i was able to witness the best qb ever in nfl history".

all fair points. and i love peyton manning, and think he probably should go down as the best ever regardless of number or rings... but whatever.

agree on katrina. for me, they're underdogs, and have never won one. that's it. for you, it's more complicated... you care about class, legacies, etc.

just curious why do you think the colts have such a great organization....or better than 95% of the league

when is the last time you've heard of an off-field incident for the colts? forever ago because of the dicipline and class they forge into their athletes that starts from the owner all the way down. I'm a huge fan of tony dungy, and I think doing things the right way, especially in the NFL now a days, is hard as hell to do (yes i like tim tebow a lot too).

when is the last time the colts have ended up with a bad draft? even though they consistently get late draft picks they just keep on rolling doing an outstanding job of developing their talent. Garcon was not a high profile athlete, that didn't matter. same can be said about many of their positions. even with the late draft picks they were able to take on bob sanders and marlyn jackson's injuries and still advance.

so to answer your question in short, the maturity of everyone in that organization along with their ability to draft and develop talent is why i think they have such a great organization.

Yeah they definitely have a very good team and Dungy is a good coach and even a better person but honestly everything tends to go well when you have one of the best QB's ever to play the game. This goes with the Patriots as well, it's much easier to plug drafts picks into a team when you have that kind of talent at by far the most important position. I just think there are alot of great organizations in the NFL that do things the right way.

there probably is, but as i mentioned before, i like dungy a lot. also i lived outside detroit and outside cinci, neither of those organizations are well run at all, so that is the image i'm running with here lol.
