haha, good point. Saigon will be interesting. Lots of teams look like world beaters in AAA then get here and get schooled. I think the truth for them is that they are somewhere in-between, but I like their playoff chances, which I don't often say about a new team. They do have Whitesun, which is a plus! Saigon stayed within 22 points of a top 5 team in the game in a hidden scrimmage 2 weeks ago, we left the tactics the same as both team's previous games, no foul play.

agreed. scary part about saigon is they're going to improve come playoffs. everyone else will have a tougher time with decline.

i understand there's a balance, can be too young, can be too old.. but saigon is definitely positioned nicely.

Agreed. I am interested to see where they end up. I don't think they're gonna run thru the league but they are a contender. They remind me of Portland two seasons ago. Of course, Portland was upset in the playoffs but it wasn't really an upset other than seeding. A number of teams could have won the division. It will be the same this time but I don't think it will be as deep as it was last season when the Mountain Men didn't make the playoffs. That's crazy.

Thai & Jam both competed well last season coming up from AAA. I definitely expect a tough game out of Saigon. I wouldn't call them the favorite against the Drunken Monks or a few others for sure though. They'll have to show me that. But they ain't gonna get schooled, that I'm sure of. I'll take a 1 point win and be happy. In fact, I'd take 20 of them.

Not only did I not say they would get schooled, I predicted they would be a playoff team, which is pretty rare in Naga history for a rookie team. I wouldn't be surprised if they even finished top 4, but it's just hard to tell until the season starts.

That said, I certainly wouldn't assume they are going to take out everyone in the old guard. PDM, Thai, the Jam, the new mutant smurf team, PDP are all dangerous, as well as others. But if you want to crown them, crown their asses!

That's all part of the fun of preseason predictions. The nice thing about these as opposed to the BcS is that it doesn't matter what any of us think when the game start.

Cow, we're actually a mix of level 61 to 56 slowbuilds now and we shouldn't have more than one or two declining players on our roster the next two seasons. Oddly enough, I do feel that we got better with the lower leveled players replacing the non-slowbuild higher level players we had on our roster.

I still stand by my statement that we're not a threat to anyone, this season and we'll be glad to squeak into the playoffs if we are lucky enough.
