As it stands right now, the sixteen teams that make up the Western Conference of the Canada Pro League are (alphabetically)...

Brooklyn Boyz, Calgary Destroyers, Kansas City Gorillas, Manitoba Matadors, Moncton Mosquitos, Nebraska Husker Maniacs, North Delta Huskies, Northern Polar Bears, St. John's Salty Dogs, Surrey Fighting Stanleys, Tadoussac Whalers,
Thunder Bay Bloodhounds, Tradewest Battletoads, Windsor Walruses, Winnipeg Warriors, and Winnipeg Wildcards.

Congratulations to the Surrey Fighting Stanleys who've won Canada Pro League's Western Conference! Barring a team decision to remain in CPL, they'll be one of seven teams representing Canada in the World League.

So, we know one team that's gone (moving up), let's take a look at the others we know will be gone also (moving down). So far we know of six teams that won't be back next season...

Brooklyn Boyz ▼
Northern Polar Bears ▼
Surrey Fighting Stanleys ▲
Thunder Bay Bloodhounds ▼
Tradewest Battletoads ▼
Winnipeg Wildcards ▼

Which, for the moment, leaves ten teams that will make up the majority of Canada Pro next season...

Calgary Destroyers
Kansas City Gorillas*
Manitoba Matadors
Moncton Mosquitos*
Nebraska Husker Maniacs*
North Delta Huskies*
St. John's Salty Dogs*
Tadoussac Whalers*
Windsor Walruses*
Winnipeg Warriors*

( * denotes a confirmed participant in Season 14... )

Best of luck to the new guys coming up from Canada AAA #1 & Canada AAA #2...

I agree that they threw in the towel mid-season, but they could choose to remain in CPL while rebuilding. I may've missed a post that said they were moving down...but I'll PM the owner for clarification.

Thanks for welcome FL - hopefully we'll do CPL proud.
Since we started out in S5, attaining Pro status has always been our goal.

Hopefully we'll prove a competetive arrival.

Queensland may have pounded us in the League final, but October Wildfire hopes to tear things up in the East!! We're returning the majority of our roster, nobody is going into decline, and we've locked up enough recruits to bring us to 50/55.

Thehazyone was our OC in season 13 until he had to quit mid-playoffs (just in time to leave me alone for the finals, LOL that didn't work out well), but I think I'll be gearing up as the OC again.

Like Nick, Wildfire was created in season six (one season later than Queensland) with the exact same goal. We've retained about 50% of our roster from that original inception, and have only replaced guys who left with other quality slowbuilds.

I and my staff look forward to seeing how much more difficult Pro really is. And here's to everybody else going into decline

stop being so modest. Queensland and Wildfire will meet in CPL Championship for our well deserved rematch
