That will largely depend upon your AI. If you have an offensive AI with 30+ inputs each at 2-5%, then you'll want to adjust pretty slowly, otherwise a lot of those inputs will likely never be run.
If you're playing defense, and you are pretty sure a certain defense will work, but you're paranoid they might switch their tendencies, doing one play at a high percentage and then another 2 or 3 at low percentages with a quicker auto adjust might be a good idea.
It's not really a black/white tool...there are nuances and situations to use it differently.
