well we are still mostly nfluk'ers but we do have a lot of non nfluk guys that play a big role on our team and plenty of other non nfluk'ers playing 2nd or 3rd string. for us the plan was always to have an all nfluk team when we first started but we soon realised that wasn't going to work. there's just not enough nfluk players of high level to be spread across all the nfluk teams so we decided to drop the name. its nice to represent nfluk and all but in time I'm sure we'll see less nfluk guys on all the teams. if you want to compete with other teams in the pro's its necessary to go out and compete for the top players. we also find that the NFLUK in the name puts some people of joining us, people don't want to join because they think they'll be made to feel like an outsider
Yeah I have found the same thing, but its Jerome's call.
I hope it leads to renewed success for the Warriors, that squad is coming on strong.
Good recruiting this off season btw, added Depth and two good starters, and the losses seem to be turned into strengths.
Good Luck.

There were a couple of reasons for Wembley dropping the NFLUK prefix.
Although the core of the team are still made up very much from members of the NFLUK community, a growing number of our players are not, including two of our GM's. NFLUK no longer seemed relevant to our identify or goals in the WEPL.
Secondly, during the offseason I and the other members of the Wembley front office and coaching staff went on a major recruitment drive to bolster our roster. Personally, in communicating with a lot of free agents I found out that the NFLUK tag discouraged several potential signings from moving to Wembley, making the team sound a little cliquey perhaps. It's hard enough to persuade North Americans to leave the USA and CA leagues as it is!

It's official, we are now just the 'London Monarchs'.

Nice! Good to see all the conformity in the league. Makes it feel much more authentic.
