No , and what I've heard on the street is that it brought in more income than they expected last season BUT...........
The actuaries went through and it actually lost a lot of potential profit dollars over the long term. Once you do something like have a sale it trains your customers to hold out until there is another sale.

For me if there is a sale I may buy some. If there is no sale, I am just going to continue to retire players
