Check the Top players...thats all you need to know.

can you show to us his skills?

do you use him as primary receiving option?

Compared to what points you put into speed, agility, and catching, what do you put into strength and blocking? Is it a 2:1 ratio or less? Because I don't want to be knocked on my arse every other play.

I can't show skills but.....think about what LB/SS usually lack and use their weakness to build a good TE. You also need to consider who you have to block for running plays. I don't use him as the main receiving option but I will say catching is your friend. They are big targets and always have to go over the middle. Catching is your friend.

so strenght first of all...+ block to be a run/pass blocker.
+ catch + speed/agility to be a receiver

naturally vision and stamina help a lot for all

am I wrong?

He's been one of the top receivers on the team and seems to have really shined the last couple of levels.

I'm convinced that agility is secondary to speed with these guys. I've also been reluctantly training jumping the last couple of weeks, but it seems to have paid off.

I probably put few too many points into special abilities but it should even out over the next level or two.

I may have pumped up stamina a little too much, but I was fighting for play time. Now he gets more plays than any of the receivers.

Dude, he is averaging like 20 yards a game. If he is one of the leading receivers, your team has some issues.

TE's are often getting doubled and trippled with the LBs and Safties. Need to get your speed up there if you're wanting the big plays. If you're looking for the catches, work on the agility and vision to do the better shorter routes which make the first downs. Strength is a plus to help try get past the safties. The receiver tree seems to help in the route runnin.

I have nice speed on my TE, but he finally broke through after I got his strength up to a decent level. He doesn't have a great QB throwing to him at all so a 90 yard game was a bit of a surprise. 63 speed pays off as long as you don't neglect other stats.

Not bad but I'd rather have a TE that can do this.

Catching is NICE but not a GREAT.

I wish I knew more about the game when I was making the TE, but here goes.
Order of Necessity:
1. Vision
2. Speed
3. Strength
4. Agility
5. Catching
6. Jumping

One quick observation - don't put any more points into special abilities for a while. They only work by adding a bonus to your other skills - so you need those to be high first, otherwise the special abilities don't really add much.

Remember to add one or two to stamina every once in a while. As your level grows, your demand for energy does too.
